Everybody's spelling automatically sucks as soon as they start typing on the Internet.

"Role playing in an MMO is more like an open orchestra with no conductor, anyone of any skill level can walk in at any time, and everyone brings their own instrument and plays whatever song they want.  Then toss PvP into the mix and things REALLY get ugly!" -Count Nerfedalot

So from this slide and the presentation the company is going to build the 20% of the game then let the community "build" the 80% left...

Which is what?! The world, the questing, the dungeon crawling, the binding focus of your online game community?!
It's probably the way EVE (and Darkfall  why so serious?) works -- there's the frameworks of market, shitty PvE quests and big empty sandbox for the PvPers to come and piss on everyone's sand castles while trying to shield their own from the others' pee. That kind of game do have most of the content provided by the players...

He has $600k, which is nowhere near enough to make his game, and spends it on a flashy-yet-unattractive website and a terrible logo. Flashy-yet-unattractive website normally comes AFTER proof of concept and paid staff, amirite?

Ought to just reinvest it while the economy is in a slump, because he clearly doesn't know how to run his own startup.

Hypothetically, then.  What would you do if you had 600k and a dream to make a WoW killer?  Would you give up before you started?

See how much licensing a third party MMO development suite is going to cost me.

Build a browser orientated MMO that will let me start generating income.

...

I'll have my $600 k now plz.
