I don't like the recent developments. AT ALL.

Man, there needs to be like a super double spoiler tag for "shit that hasn't even aired yet."  Ohhhhh, I see.

Or maybe I should look at a calendar.  Facepalm

EDIT: Missed episode rectified. I liked this one. They need to do something about Shaw's douchebag hair though.

Ok:

I like the development in the last episode. It gives Morgan more to do in the show and I think that's useful.
Also, on a purely male note, Yay for Ellie in a bikini!

I'm actively wishing death on Shaw now and I suspect that his actions in the last episode will lead to problems between him and Sarah sooner rather than later.

The will they/won't they thing doesn't really bother me because that's pretty much expected in these types of shows. Moonlighting destroyed most chances of that tension ever getting resolved in a series.

If you recall, we were very close to not even getting this season, something drastic would have to happen to get another.

They're about the same as other seasons I believe. NBC certainly didn't help by making people wait until the spring then have the Olympics interupt it. It's typical dumbshit network behavior. "What, just because we jack around when the show airs has nothing to do with any issues with the ratings!"

I started out really, realy liking this show. At this point I could care so little about it that I doubt I'll bother to finish watching it. It's been terribly mishandled in general, and this season has just been horrible to the point of making the characters completely unlikable. Thank god it's the last season, it's already been on one season too long.

It's striking how much better the last two episodes were. Both with minimal too none Shaw involvement

I thought the last two episodes were the two worst of the show.  Mostly because of were the show seems to be going.

The early going of the 3rd season was pretty weak I though, but like prior seasons it seems to be picking up steam as it goes along.

What pisses me off is that Sarah didn't want to date Chuck anymore because he is turning into a real spy so instead she dates... a real spy? someone who is exactly everything you don't want Chuck to be?

I'm still liking the show as much as ever although they really do seem to be concluding it. That's fine. It's nice to see an American TV show that doesn't feel it has to do everything possible to drag on for 7 seasons or more even at the cost of having everyone be glad when it's finally canceled.

I could be wrong I guess. Although the reset they'd have to do to put things back to the initial conditions at this point would make the one at the beginning of this season look like nothing at all.

I finally got caught up. The first episode back after the break (the Shaw is the target of Chuck the assassin) was the worst episode of the entire run, mainly because of the goombah villains. But it did set up some nice drama with Chuck being a good liar. I really like where the show's going. In fact, I'd love it if they moved the show out of the Burbank Buy More and actually followed Chuck as a team leader in Rome, with Sarah and Casey along for the ride. I'm afraid they won't do that, though. It'd be a great hook for a 4th season, but I don't see them getting a 4th. As it is, though, I'll be happy if the first person Chuck kills is Shaw, because man, I hate Brandon Routh. I didn't realize it until he came on Chuck, but I really despise looking at him.

They were talking about the "game changing" ending of season two a lot but last episode clearly showed that they didn't have a clue what to do in season three.

You could have made a good season really great just by reordering some of the episodes and filling in some plot holes.

Sarah is worried that Chuck has changed, that becoming a spy will change him even more, doesn't want him to be a spy: Introduce the whole spy training ends with red test right at the start of the season.

Sarah tells somebody about the worst day in her life, about how much killing another person has changed her and that she fears about Chuck losing himself if he has to do it also. It would give Sarah Walker a much better motivation for everything, her insistence about leaving the spy world, her fear of losing "old chuck", being hurt and heading for the rebound guy when Chuck chooses spy world over her.

Make the ring more prominent. We don't know who they are, we don't know what they want (except Shaw, which we don't really care about) and they haven't done anything wortthwhile anyway except raiding the Buy More a few times. What is their goal, how do they want to achive it, why the beef with Shaw.

Lose the Hannah and Shaw plot completely. Kristen Kreuk's character didn't serve any purpose at all, except showing her in the mini nerd herd outfit a few times (not that there is anything wrong with that  why so serious?). Brandon Routh can't act his way out of a paper bag, he is totally outclassed by most if not all of the cast, especially Yvonne Strahovski who does an awesome job this year. You could easily swap Shaw with any already existing character on the show (killing the fiancee of Casey has put him down the dark road to being the guy he is today for example), which would also mean that you wouldn't have wasted your budget on two guest stars that are rather worthless as far as plot is concerned and could use it more effectively on the awesome cast you already have.

Hell throw Sarah Lancaster a bone instead of wasting money on guest cast.

Wouldn't have changed much about the last episodes but would have made the episodes much better.
