That should give you an idea of how fucking badass loot is when they put some effort in.

Looks even better in game. I compressed the fuck out of that stuff. Parts of Kirth's outfit looks like enamel. It's truly incredible in motion.

I think the other med armor set looks even better, I'll try to get the legs and boots again to show it.

Just a few more levels and I can hit Sanctum!  Glad they are improving loot, I went to Black Castle which was shit but did get a decent shield off one of the bosses in the basement.

Please to be improving more dungeons, kthxbai.

Today I went into the Cistern alone. I am level 65 so the mobs were all white. I was scouting the place for my lower guildees who are planning an expedition, plus I wanted to see it as I missed it when it was the right time (although I'll have to head back there anyway, main system goes down up to 70 apparently) due to too much grinding (my fault) and the lack of a decent group. I found a few bosses down there. They were white, so no aggro becuase of the level difference and were forced to defend themslelves when I unleashed my rage.

They all died pretty fast and to my complete surprise they still dropped blue loot. WTF? A white, 13 levels lower than me boss who basically can't even scratch my new hairstyle drops blue loot?

No need to say, such loot is no trade so either I can't use it because it's not for my class or I can't use it ANYMORE because it's level 55 loot. Nor I can sell it (no trade). Still, I thought it was odd to get loot from white mobs. Fix it?

Complaining about getting loot from mobs you shouldn't is a stupid, stupid plan right now. Just stupid.

Hey. Delete my post if it's harmful.
I wasn't complaining, just being surprised.

Same with the ToS post.

I like nerfs also, but nerfing loot dropping right now is missing the point.

I like nerfs.

I don't.  I don't think they should even consider nerfs until they know what their baseline is yet.  I really doubt they do.

Why should lower level mobs not drop loot? does any game at all do that? sounds pretty damn idiotic if you ask me.

Bosses that don't pose any kind of challenge shouldn't drop loot, let alone blue loot, or any monkey could farm them over and over. In this case you can't sell what you farm so it's not a big deal, but you can dress yourself up with blue gear while risking absolutely nothing. Finally, this could fuck up player crafters. But I guess it's a bit too soon to think about that, especially when they can barely craft.

On a bright note, I got my Nimbus last night (godly caster 1H mace) on my first run...at level 38. Turned in all the quests, and dinged 39 and equipped it. WOOT

You make the mistake of rating gear by color only, blue gear thats way below your level isnt awesome just because its blue.  Otherwise i would still be wearing my molten core epics over BC blues in wow.

The blue sanctum gear is still better than white/greens in the mid 50s.

That's an item design problem. Falconeer is being a noob and assuming it's the fault of itemization itself.

I personally think a 40 blue should be as good or better than a mid-50 green. Or why bother trying to get blue gear?

EQ (and maybe EQ2, not sure) tried 'trivial loot', and yes, it was stupid.

What the big deal?  You can run through Scarlett Monastery in Wow at 70 and get piles of blue gear, which is pretty well just glorified vendor trash.

Because its text is a pretty baby blue.

The bosses I've encountered aren't so tough as to warrent dropping items that are fifteen levels better than their green equivalent.  I'm fine with that.  The Diablo system is good with me, where a rare might be 'Whoa! Awesome!' better or it could be worse than a normal magic item, it just has a good chance of being better on average.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!
