i'm just off my 5 hours session. It's quite an honest grind. The tutorial is basically crapshoot. If you can bear to read the english and somewhat, clunky interface that kept removing the quest dialogue window, preventing me from reading it. And the terrible asian grind fonts are back as you can see it's goddamn small (tm) making chat a nightmare like a faulty lasik surgery on your eyes.

I've tested an assassin class and a knight class.
One's a paper melee dps machine and the other's a melee tank incarnate.
We're talking a dps and hp difference of 200% between Assassin (Double DPS) and Knight (Double HP)
I finished both at lvl 13 before I slept and checked the skill tree. Yep you heard me right, there are skill tree with several progression unlocks to next tier, but unlike WoW, I did not see a prequisite number of points, (you just need one on on previous tier that has an arrow pointing to the next tier you want, voila!) Just like Diablo.
But the amount of toggle skills made me do a double take, it reminds me of City of heroes. The availability of health and mana potions worried me too (is it gonna be diablo pvp & pve style of pot-chuggin?), fortunately there's 1 min cooldown. So if you time it wrong, you're screwed. It surprises me somewhat with it's optional skill picks unlike its similiar gfx engine cousin , Lineage 2 where every same class takes the same skill, Rohan lets you spec a class to your liking. You want more dmg, forgo the shield skills and defence buffs. You want to play sneaky assassin? Pump more points on Vanish and critical passives when hiding. Yes there's stealth, ala WoW, but no retarded long ass saps. Crowd control uses the classic taunt mechanic and short timer stuns (I like the tank play somehow due to this) I went to a +3 lvl zone with 3 other guys who had no clue of tanking mechanics (we want to be dps in a shining armour and still have shield, yipeee!) and held my own despite being 2 levels below them (they never pump any points on stats)
Oh yes, you level up both ways. WoW lets you pick your talent, but not stat build up, Rohan lets you do both. I'm not sure how balanced this would get, but...so far I've been focusing on HP HP HP HP with one point of strength per lvl for tank (you get 4 stat and 1 skill pt)
i've not tested pvp cause the open beta start is a lagfest and im just glad i managed to leave the pre-Lvl 10 zones that was a nightmare.
I'm having a blast. But I don't know how long this grind will entertain me. ;)
