Here's a shot of EQ2 Tyburon, (I'll post a shot of AoC Tyburon when I get back to my big rig tomorrow)

I like 'em both. And Conan, while brutally beautiful, lacks a bit of flair, IMO.

The big difference for me between EQ2 and AoC is how armor and ground are handled. A good comparison is the image you posted and the one photek posted a few posts later.

Having said that, if AoC launched when EQ2 did, AoC would probably have a similar resolution though of course similar style.

While cool, that's kind of spolier-y.

That's why I am not posting or saying anything about the last step of the Destiny Quest.

Just... Aesthetically super cool.

Found an elite level 80 group boss in our city zone for some reason.  I couldn't get a good SS because he killed me so fast trying to take the picture awesome, for real.

Downsized. I love the sunbeams though. The second one shows the sort of depth I love from this engine.

Which country is Picnictableia found in?

I love the stuff they do with the moon and sun.  The hand in that scene and the eclipse in the Pictish ruins of Tortage.

Oh, you mean this guy? I know how it feels...

Keshatta. Concept art quality.

It makes you want to touch the fabric.

Great job with daylight and time of the day.

Lame sexy spellweaving.

And behind the cut... NSFW blue bloody boobs. (with low res background texture, meh)

Ok, shots looking much better. Between some stuff here and conversation elsewhere in the subforum, I think I might go for AoC for the winter mmo this year. Hopefully it'll be patched up a good deal by then.

That's exactly what I thought going through the various threads here.
Will be a tough one though if WAR wants to be a winter MMO, too...

I'm not playing AoC or even the WAR beta, but I expect the former to be much more polished than the latter once WAR releases. Polish has become the leading factor in the MMOs I choose for once. The biggest thing WAR has going for it seems to be lower system requirements. My current budget just doesn't have room for the upgrades required by AoC, let alone the initial purchase. I'll wait and see what happens. Until then, I'm MMO-free for the first time in a while.

The difference is how beautiful this game is, from graphics to music and sound.

I reallt do not see WAR beating this game in ANY of these areas, and combat as well. Color me biased though.

Not a screen shot, nor is it anything i have. Apparently, this is epic tier ranger armor, and its hot.

Ookii Edit: Don't hotlink, it didn't work anyway.  On Imageshack now.

One of the things I really love is the blurring of distant objects. Even on lower-end machines, long shots look
great!. Here's the same shot with higher settings

If WAR plans to focus on large scale pvp as its primary gameplay aspect, they would be silly to attempt it.  Don't you think?

Maybe on the graphics side, but combat they better attempt to make more fun than Wow.
