My CB hit level 4, and had a decent game. 3 tackles, 2 deflected passes. He did get just absolutely burned by one level 8 wideout for a 19-yd. gain but came back to make the tackle.

He had a great last game, hurried the QB twice, got 5 tackles. Couse it left him a bit..tired.

My FS isn't progressing quite as well.

Not sure if anyone has a team that needs a QB. I have a lvl 10 QB who just got cut from the team he was on. He was 3rd string, so I guess it's okay.

Ballz Slappin got his first INT, and yet didn't level. I don't know if it's the CPU playcalling or something I have set up, but he appears to be playing guys 5 yards off the line in m2m. He's got the agility to play some press coverage.

Yeah, I think so. Holy shit, he was all over the place.

Might want to tweak the run tendency down a little bit. 52 rushes? Of course, it worked so maybe not. I think my WR needs to work on his YAC. Breaking tackles or avoiding them seems to be a problem.

I think that we ran so much as a means to kill clock once we had the lead.  Though I may be giving the AI too much credit.

Just a matter of having a lead over 21 in the 2nd half, which I can't control yet.

tip for cb building:  super vision is awesome imo.  Everyone who can get it should get it.

I think vision and confidence are the two most underrated attributes.  A CB doesn't need confidence so much but definitely vision.

For the SS, if you put all your points into speed/agility/tackling until level 10, and then fill out some vision and strength, you should be pretty decent by about level 12.  You'll be gimp til then tho  : /

If anyone sees anything very bad about any of the builds let me know, they should all be available to view.  I haven't invested too much time in my picks beyond a rough idea of what I'm going for and looking over the bible thread so far.  I'm going to take the lvl ups from here on out a bit more seriously, I've purposely left some key skills low so I could get "free" points training them while playing in the D leagues.

But if it looks like I'm way off I'd like to hear it.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

I was very effective at low levels in the d-league with my SS, I pumped vision and speed (and of course, stamina). I neglected agility until the last couple levels because I was slowing down on cuts. Tackling is good, but I have missed two tackles ever and I just bump it up a little now and again.

Super Vision is great for anyone in the secondary, sniffing out plays is so important.

For that SS...going to need stamina, some speed, agility and vision. Also need tackling up a bit. I don't have much strength and haven't seen a negative to it. In a few levels, around level 12 or so, drop another point into wrap-up and a couple into diving tackle. SS are effing hard to build.

The game just really punishes you for putting too many points in special abilities.  Stats are super important, especially early on.  Once your stats get up to par, whichever ones you want to focus on really, you'll be solid.  Definitely get your stamina to 25 asap, as you'll get more snaps and level faster on the cpu team, then I'd get your speed to 30 and then switch to vision.  You could just train agility for a while.

I always thought that vision and speed are the name of the game for virtually every D-position outside the d-line.
Then agility, then jumping (Pass deflections and diving tackles anyone?), and THEN tackling (set special tactics to "wrap up")

As for the D-Line: Agility, Speed, Strength with really equal importance.

I yet have to see the stats of an outstanding RB, but what I got it's mostly like agility, vision, speed, carrying. High Vision+ Agility makes you hit the hole hard, and gets you the first few yards, only then will you speed help you out and you don't want to lose a fumble after a 4+y run, do you?

WRs: Speed, Agility, Catching, (Confidence/vision?)

O-line: Blocking, Blocking, Strength

Stamina is obviously very important, too. Although it gets less important when you have decent backups sitting behind (which enables you to play on "hard"- which is saweed) and especially if you in fact ARE a backup.

Just my 2 cents on what I experienced during my 2 1/2 seasons.

Oh, and as for Special Abilities- 1- max 2 points per level are enough. Really. Most SA are only % modifiers to base stats anyway. But you can plan ahead and put EVERY single point from level 1-5 into SAs and THEN start to put in base skills. Some people do similar things as you are able to level pretty fast at those ranges and get to the modifiers quicker for later use.

My FS has also been doing Kickoff Returns on the CPU team.  He finally had a good game. It's been like 1 or 2 tackles a game and I was just about to delete him, (I think I've made him a bit too rounded, but he's starting to shine finally)....

Course - then again, he causes a fumble, then fumbles, luckily we got it.

1-2 tackles per game for a FS is just perfect and you should compliment you Defense to not let people get past them so you'd have to clean up.
Get youself into the Kickoff squad, you high vision and hopefully high speed is paying off there!

Somehow I am down to 19th on the wait list for a team. This means everyone who reads this needs to buy a couple of thousand FPs and start leveling up some new players to help me! I don't want to end up like one of those catasses with 25 of my own players on my team.

They just opened 8 Canada A leagues, so 256 people just got out of your way.

If you are still prioritizing AAA or Pro, what will happen is you will, by the end of season 3 playoffs probably, inherit an abandoned team with a full roster of people who will immediately spam you for their release.  FUN!

We can keep our starting quarterback for at least this season, right?
