Fuck, is there anybody on his team that ISN'T him?

Yeah, the passing was bad. If you watch any of the plays, every single receiver we have is just draped. No separation at all. And I can see why, facing a DB that is twice my level. Hell, their nickel back covering the slot was level 17.

I have a SS in a computer league I rolled up the other night, but he's only level 1.  But if you need him once he's levelled a bit, he's all yours.

Otherwise, yeah, that game was pretty brutal.

The next game doesnt look like it is going to be any easier than this one.  The one after that looks like a closer matchup.

If you do not you will constantly be tired and forced to do unfocused/relaxed training

Of the things that drain stamina, running and hitting are the worst, and SS wind up doing a lot of both.  Since you won't be the only SS on the roster, you don't have to be *that* high.

More guys with higher levels, though not nearly as bad as before. My WR did decently against higher level CB's, and I hit the magic level 8, so my equipment is upgraded. Our rushing game is still getting stifled, but I'm betting that has as much to do with the lowest starting guy on their defensive front 7 was level 10 and our OL is levels 10-11.

Yeah, our OL got roughed up pretty good. QB is 2nd in the league in getting hurried, but only 1 INT and no sacks so far. If we can advance him and the receiving corps enough to start getting to some of those balls that are getting deflected, we should have a pretty decent passing attack.

I play the game, too. And I have to say that stamina is indeed important, but not THAT important. Just keep training it on relaxed and put a point in it every other level.
I have a lvl 20 FS and he plays his 70+ snaps with 37 stamina with no problems.

Given that I don't expect anyone to train anything other than on relaxed, it really is no proble to get to 95+ energy prior to every game.

I pumped Stamina, and now I'm worried that I wont have enough cash to afford all the intense training I can do...  find the balance you must.

Looks like the tweaks I made to Stamina Levels per position worked out fairly well.  Everyone reads the forum on GLB, right?

Looks like we need 2 things to keep this running:  People to train on Relaxed for the +15 if that's what it takes to get to 90+, and more Depth at DT and MLB (in addition to existing problem areas).

I'm going to go through the owners list and tally up players we have on D league teams.  I'll start a thread over there when I have potential candidates for an early call up.

We took our whooping from 3 teams that are, for now, a few steps better than us, but today has given me hope that against even teams we can compete, and should be in the mix for at *least* the 8th playoff spot.

Kickass.

Again, thanks for managing this team, Sauced. I have enough trouble keep up with my small stable of players, but am loving being on a F13 team where I actually care about wins/losses instead of just hoping I level up.

Ten years of MMOs, I've been an officer but managed to dodge GL til now.   And it's basically GL and Raid Leader in one.  I'm having a blast, and I just want everyone else to have fun as well.

And by fun, of course, I mean win.  awesome, for real

Crap, sorry.  Basically, it's a thread for anyone with younger players on CPU teams to list them all so we know who to call up when we need depth.

Jackson Fife, SS, Level 3 (URL: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=600223)

Should be up above level 5 in a week or so. Can you see their stats with those URLs?

Sure can. Might try pumping attributes the next couple of levels and leave the special abilities where they are. The common wisdom says to use 4 points per level for attributes and 1 for special abilities. You can also buy custom gear (for FPs) at level 8 that gives a +1 to an entire special ability tree, so that could save you some points if you ever decide to buy FPs.

Sounds good, thanks. I had initially pumped those special abilities when I started my guys but haven't touched them since. Been pumping stamina but should be done with that with this next level.

Good to know about the equipment too, that's probably the best way to go.

I can't see your sekret forum, can you PM me the revised Stamina figures??? You can view my newbie experiments here.  I think I'm content in the D-League for a season though figuring out what works and getting used to the game.  I really wish I could reorganize my players based on who has a game next though...  Where do I post a suggestion like that?

I am on the waiting list for a team as well, so we will eventually have another roster to fill. I am 300th on the list for an America- only team, but might switch that up to other regions in the offseason. I don't mind waiting a season or two though- I am having a blast with the Chachapoyas.

Just something to keep in mind. There will be more than enough positions to fill eventually  awesome, for real

Seems to me it'd almost be more fun to take a team from the lower leagues and make a run for promotion.  I really love that they decided to use that EU/Real football concept.

Jackson Fife, SS, Level 3
My man Crush is our starter, so I'll bite on this one. You seem to realize you've gone deep into abilities. Your change direction skill would probably go good with my SS :) No matter your focus, two of the best SS skills, especially at lower levels, are Wrap-Up and Super Vision. I dropped 2 into each, and one into the entire coverage tree. My custom gear gives me one in every skill on the hard hitter tree. At level 13, I'm Coverage 1-2-1-1-1 and Hard Hitter 3-2-2-1-1. I've been focusing on stamina the last couple levels, but I do need to bump up my Coverage skills soon (especially change direction).

Your stamina is perfect. That should be fine for the D-Leagues until you come up to the Chachas, and then just monitor your energy levels (Sauced will nag you :)). I'd work on vision, the safety is mostly covering the tight end, but a good vision and speed will let you get to almost any play in the middle or on your side in case of a missed tackle. You're the guy to protect over the top, make sure you can see where that is and get there quick. Speed and vision are my two favorites :)

Strength is important mostly against the run game, since I don't think many WRs are power runners. I'm trying to work agility right now to improve my turning, I'm fast as hell but get bogged down on cuts. Tackling is of course important, but my tackling is relatively low but I don't miss tackles. Set to Wrap-Up in tactics! Play Hard! You could probably work jumping and catching for INTs, but I like to leave that to the CBs and focus on being the last line of defense to stop the big plays.

Here's my stats at 13:

Strength:   19.8       Blocking:   12.02
Speed:   43.8       Tackling:   26.61
Agility:   22.55   Throwing:   9
Jumping:   12.02   Catching:   12.02
Stamina:   39.8       Carrying:   12.02
Vision:   33.2       Kicking:   10
Confidence: 12.02   Punting:   8

My custom gear is Boots of Speed, +6 to speed  DRILLING AND MANLINESS (Sauced let me know if this is private info, I can delete after Viin reads it)

Thanks Sky!

I'll work on vision and speed next, and I hadn't even looked at advanced tactics until now.. do you typically use balanced for everything except for Tackling?

Edit: I wish there was a 'notes' section for each player so I can write down my plan for this particular player - managing more than 2 would be a chore!

My little OT is doing pretty well....didn't get outright beat even once in his last game, and only failed to keep a blocker away from a bad runner going through a too-small hole twice in about 50 plays. He just needs more pancakes.

I notice we only have 3 OTs...is that suitable depth at those 2 positions?

It seems to be working, actually, but the LT and 3rd Swing tackle are both guys I picked up off the street, so we'll need help there next season probably.
