In short, we told our emailer, "Send this email to a few hundred alpha testers." And the emailer said "Sure, I'll send this old mail to 15,000 mailing list people." And we said "ack, no, are you stupid?" And it said "what? I sent this email to a few hundred alpha testers like you asked." And we said "no you didn't fool! You sent this old email to a few thousand!" And it said "I swear I did no harm." And we said "You are on crack, emailer!" And then we uninstalled it.

Did any of you make it? Iso world, multiple zones connected (small ones), and even seamless crossing between worlds of the same type....

I tried it out for about 10 minutes.  I suppose it was cool for the people who built the maps to see people walking around them, but there wasn't any real reason I could find to stick around.  Part of the problem for me was that the camera angle was so severe that it was difficult to see if there was in fact anything worth investigating on any map I visited.  I'm not a game designer/builder and don't have any real appreciation for the tech involved but it seemed like I still was zoning into new maps just like I have in countless games before.  I did click on a mailbox and end up in a different map which I think didn't have a zone in but I could be mistaken.  On the plus side it didn't lock up my PC or lag too badly.

There wasn't really anything to do -- it was a stress test, to see how we are doing loadwise for the server, see what new browser incompatibilities popped up with full screen mode, that sort of thing.

The camera angle is 2:1 iso, which is pretty standard. What do you call severe? :)

You were zoning into new maps. A key thing though is that some of those new maps were actually in other worlds altogether. They could, in fact, have been a different game, like a space shooter.

Arrgh, I missed it. Have another one soon. LIKE NOW! Or soon.

It seemed like a very limited view to me I'm not sure why,  maybe  because I've become accustomed to being able to change the camera angle and zoom in the games I've been playing lately.  The different worlds aspect of it wasn't noticeable to me, should it have been or was that more of a underlying tech kind of thing?

How do you even do that?  I need thicker skin.  Doesn't your wife want to kill everyone on the internet or doesn't she look?  Maybe I wouldn't look, either.  I don't want to go to prison.   swamp poop
