I was hoping for a game map branded into zebra hide. The character customizations bonuses are cool.

If it wasn't an MMORPG I would be all over that action.

Damn that's expensive. I'm sure the GW minis added to the price but still...

I preordered from the EAstore.  Even if I later decide it sucks, if they truly limit it to 60k, there's a good chance I could ebay the box and codes if I really wanted to when the game gets near open beta.

Hrm, when I try to preorder from EAstore I get a pop-up that says: Before we can add Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Collector's Edition to your cart, please make the following selections:

And then doesn't give me any selections. WTF.

Oh well.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

You'll probably be able to ebay the miniature for 40-60 bucks in a year or so. The nicer limited GW stuff goes for about that regularly, and the new plastic Orc Warboss is fucking clownshoes. I'll be getting a pre-order just for the mini if nothing else. Concept art. I did find a tiny pic of the CE package and if it's legit it looks like they stuck to the concept. I just hope they post stats for it so I can use a bunch of cheesy special rules to piss off the local High Elf players.

No luck with the ea store. It prompts me to make a selection, but gives me nothing to select.

That all is...strange.  Worked fine for me approx. 10:15 AM EST this morning.

EDIT:  Just tried again and got the same screen you guys got.  Is it possible that their quota is all gone?

Oh, guess I missed it somehow.  Didn't see it listed and a search on "age of reckoning" only turns up the regular edition.

Paying $80 for an MMORPG because it comes packed with special orc figurine (assembly required) and hardcover comic book.

I see.

The regular price is $50 so I'm paying $30 for a bunch of nice stuff, which is trivial.  If I'm still playing the game a year later I'd kick myself for not getting the fun stuff, plus the $30 is nothing compared to the $165 I'd have spent on the subscription.

If they give those dudes stats and a special army lists, you'll easily be able to turn around and sell them on E-Bay for 30+ dollars.
Hell, even without write-ups.  Or if you don't want to bother putting him together and painting him, you could just send him to me.  I'll sub him in as a blorc warboss easily enough.

I reserved from eb-games online. Here's hoping they're reliable and don't screw me somehow.

Agreed. Still not sure I want to cough up an extra 30 bucks for 12 quests/rewards/heads. I would seriously never look at the art book or graphic novel.

I will check my local EB this afternoon and see what the price is and if we even get it here in Aust. If nothing else, I'm into some of the GW art books, which usually go for a pretty penny regardless.

Ordered.  I'm a sucker for swag.

A little disappointed at the lack of an in game pet.  I'd so much rather have something like that than a little real figurine.

Art book is a huge plus too.

I ordered it. The titles and heads is what pushed me over the top. And well, as far as GW pricing goes, $30 for all that extra stuff is a downright steal. Even if it sucks I could probably get $50 for just the art book in 2 years.

I'll buy the CE on one condition:  Get rid of the free shit and apply the extra $20 to making the game fun from beginning to end.
