I preordered from the EAstore.  Even if I later decide it sucks, if they truly limit it to 60k, there's a good chance I could ebay the box and codes if I really wanted to when the game gets near open beta.

You'll probably be able to ebay the miniature for 40-60 bucks in a year or so. The nicer limited GW stuff goes for about that regularly, and the new plastic Orc Warboss is fucking clownshoes. I'll be getting a pre-order just for the mini if nothing else. Concept art. The regular price is $50 so I'm paying $30 for a bunch of nice stuff, which is trivial.  If I'm still playing the game a year later I'd kick myself for not getting the fun stuff, plus the $30 is nothing compared to the $165 I'd have spent on the subscription.

Agreed. Still not sure I want to cough up an extra 30 bucks for 12 quests/rewards/heads. I would seriously never look at the art book or graphic novel.

I will check my local EB this afternoon and see what the price is and if we even get it here in Aust. If nothing else, I'm into some of the GW art books, which usually go for a pretty penny regardless.

A little disappointed at the lack of an in game pet.  I'd so much rather have something like that than a little real figurine.

Art book is a huge plus too.

WAR doesn't have /dance either, remember.  On the baking bread - - - play 2 crush scale, WAR is farther to the right than WoW. 

I ordered it. The titles and heads is what pushed me over the top. And well, as far as GW pricing goes, $30 for all that extra stuff is a downright steal. Even if it sucks I could probably get $50 for just the art book in 2 years.

I'll buy the CE on one condition:  Get rid of the free shit and apply the extra $20 to making the game fun from beginning to end.

I got my open beta code yesterday which I promptly put onto my beta access account. I also got my other codes for the ingame goodies which I printed out and stored in a (hopefully) safe place.

I've gone to a couple of the local EBs up here in Calgary, but none of them have the SKU for it yet.

Question: Having never pre-ordered an online game online, does the 5-10 days of shipping to Canada mean I get it 5-10 days after the game launches? If so, screw that, I'll just wait for it to appear up here.

I've only done it a couple times but the games showed up on the release date.  Since this grants access to a head start you will be in before the release date anyways, often when that happens there is a few days between release and when the retail key has to be entered before the service is turned off.

Codes? From an online preorder, or a brick and mortar one?

Got mine from an online preorder from EBgames.  They send you one code for the open beta, one for the live game head start, and one for the ingame items.

I got all three of my codes via email today. From EBStopwhateverthehellitisnow online.

No.  The only reason I'd buy the Age of Conan CE is for the drinking cape.
