I'm guessing that the artist is British, there are a lot of very obscure British robots in that lot - Terrahawks, Metal Mickey, Smash robots etc.

Neither are Cybermen.

The first character I recognized was Eve. Grin
Really? I think I spotted about 30 I recognised before i even noticed EvE was in the picture, lol.  Also, wasnt the T-100 originally classified as a cyborg?

Should I know what any of that is?

I'm assuming some comic book thing and/or Japanese animation thing.

It is League of Legends characters. They are posing in the same poses that show up when the game loads (for the most part).

Without further exploration right now, I imagine it's the fractions getting them all fucked up.  Those pieces of squares aren't wholly aligning the way they're imagining they do.

It's like that old one about turning money into change, then winding up with less money than you had to start with.  I can't recall it off the top of my head but there's a flaw in there as well.

Ed: When I did it in an actual drafting program, it did indeed come down to a fraction failure.  The area of the failure is... 1 square unit, go figure!  awesome, for real  You can see this even in the .gif where the black lines look thicker.   I prettied it up and sent a screencap to myself that I'll post when I'm home.

ED2: Even though Ghost posted a visual explanation. Here's mine because, damnit, I sent the work home.

After finding not only Tik-Tok, both cylons, both Marvins, AND the baby from Heartbeeps, I realized there was no Romie-0 or Julie-8, and thus my knowledge of robots was superior.

And then I found the robot announcer that was barking at the trade show Romie-0 and Julie-8 met at. ACK!

I recall that very same picture being posted a long while back, and it also resulted in a long math derail as people explained it.  Lets not go down that road yet again.   why so serious?

I had a math teacher once explain to me why you should always change doors.  Problem is, he was incorrect.  Your chances stay the same in reality, because whatever happens, you still only get to keep one door.

Not going to read it.  That's a case of math missing the point.  Regardless of what you do, you still only get one door out of three.
