The cake does look tasty.

I liked the look of the cake until I saw the fondant.  Mob
Apparently almost everything is done with fondant anymore. :(  Seems like actual icing skills are phasing out of the cake decorating business. So sad, I can still remember watching my grandpa making roses when I was a kid, or seeing him color the icing and put it into the decorating bag with a tip and all, then just zip out piping or edging like it was nothing.  Of course, growing up in the family bakery will do that to you, I guess.

Somebody needs to take one of these 3D "printers" and figure out how to load it with cake frosting.  Or program a robot arm to use a piping bag.

Negative, they still teach piping and butter-cream frosting/icing; my GF just completed her decorating course.  However, most of the cake decorations that are requested now cannot be done to the detail required with piping and tips.  The cake above is a good example.

Here is map of all the countries of the world, with the origin/meaning of their name:

Right so, central nation is accurate then?

A kingdom being a nation ruled by a king and something in the middle being central?

Just curious as to what your point actually was.

Interesting.  I always thought "Middle Kingdom" was a reference to the time period when most of china was unified, rather than where it appeared geographically.

Wikipedia, which is never wrong, uses "Middle Kingdom" and "central country" as equal possibilities.

My inclination to look on that as some sort of abuse is warring with my opinion that that is awesome.

Pretty sure thats shopped and not makeup on the kitten, so don't worry about abuse.

Yeah, that's got to be photoshopped.  The colors are just to evenly solid for it to be a dye job.

Or so I tell my self, as the alternative is a bit  ACK!.

I am not above thinking the Japanese would dye a kitten.

Neither am I. They would do a very effective job of it tho that would also be neat to see and make an interesting YouTube video. There is no YouTube video of this kitten being dyed. Therefore this is a photoshop.

Yeah, the colouring of the cat is way too consistent for it to be a real dye job. Especially around the eyes.

That's pretty cool.  Not sure if I should be saddened at immediately recognizing Castle Greyskull some 25 years after the fact, or not.

I've never watched a full minute of He-man in my life and I still recognized it, so I think you're cool. Besides, there aren't a lot of castles with skulls that would be both dedicated a snow replica and re-posted on f13.
