The part in the beginning where they dump the beer into the the dog bowl and then a drinking glass made my skin crawl. The most effective horror scene from any movie I've watched recently. I actually had to change the channel.

That actually made me look up the date of the movie. I was 9, but I've seen it more times than I can count. So that's something. The truly disturbing part is, upon looking it up, it appears fox is or was trying to launch a tv series with it's name, and... ugh... I really hope it was completely unrelated, the character names are at least different. "Laurie Metcalf, a wife and mother who is newly sober at the family brewery. She has a tough time acclimating to this and trying to stop swearing. She goes to her husband and kids for strength and encouragement. " Both imdb and tv.com list it as 2010, but no episodes have aired, so I'm hoping this one is just dead, eh. |
