I only found out today due to all the "new digitally enhanced moon landing footage" that NASA lost the original recordings.  How the hell do you lose the only copies of something so important?
Now you know how Dr Who fans feel.  awesome, for real

First four episodes of MST3K were lost that way, as well.

No, they weren't. Jim Mallon has copies of ktma1-3, he simply chooses not to release them. Joel showed ktma0 (Green Slime, a demo tape) at a con, there are copies on the intarweb, and ktma4-21 are widely available. The Brains have said that the ktma episodes are rough, and they see no reason for them to escape.

You know how many music studios taped over great early work of artists when they were coming up? I'm so happy the guy who did my band's demo went digital shortly after that and never recorded over the master.

Yeah that Star Wars pic is pretty priceless. DRILLING AND MANLINESS

still amazes me that someone was actually in R2... then again, it was the 70s.

Eh, I'd say everyone in that photo minus Hamill is really tall. We ARE talking about Vader, Chewie, and a 6 footish Solo.

It's 3.9 inches shorter than white females of her age group, according to all knowledgeable wiki.  I take the point, however, that she appears so small due to the relative heights of the others.

Second thing: How the fuck do you sharpen the points if one gets dull?

What's crazier is there was another guy behind him until he ejected out... at MACH 2!  ACK! ACK! ACK!

Also the guy in the picture took his glove off partially at MACH 2. Shockingly his skin quickly began to burn from the friction.
