It'd be more awesome if they bothered to get the Symbols in the correct element positions.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

That wouldn't work and would somewhat defeat the point though.

They are arranged mostly by "style" (Sans Serif, Serif, Display, Script, etc.) and the numbers apparently represent the rankings, though some of those numbers are mind-boggling bizarre (e.g. there's no fucking way Akzidenz-Grotesk should be at #5). If they were sorted by rank in the same way as the periodic table of elements then the styles would no longer be grouped together.

As a chemist, the point was defeated the second they decided to use, but rearrange, the order of the symbols.

Besides, if y'all want to get picky about how it ruins the order of the fonts, most of the table is arranged vertically for similar properties.  So it fails in that regard, too.

Yeah it's a bit inaccurate I think. Depends on the time frame of reference I guess. Myriad for example is a nice face, and it's a Twombly face, but it was created in 1992. Seems odd it is ranked as more popular or influential than Zapf's Palatino or Friz's Quadrata. I still love it - gonna make a big laminated poster version.

EDIT: Or Bell Gothic > Franklin Gothic  ACK!

Speaking of marketing, we're out of milk.

The chart has a very Euro-feel to it given the preponderance of Sans Serif faces which are more popular over there for text typesetting than over here where serif fonts dominate. Also Robert and Carol worked on Myriad together, as is noted on the chart itself.

Bell Gothic I can see ranked ahead of Franklin Gothic because of its special purpose design for telephone book printing and therefore was more influential.

Wow, you just linked from a place called: funnyanimatedgifs.net.

I think it's safe to assume that any image on there is "old hat."

That first one must be a shop, surely.

Those water coolers are actually quite large.

There's a whole fandom for this stuff that goes by many different names. First one definitely looks shopped but the lass featured is quite tall regardless.

Not sure how it qualifies as Awesome.

And how.

Oh wait. . you meant the actual water cooler.  I thought it was a euphemism for breastuses.

She certainly does manage to be HWP, which is pretty impressive for someone with that much H.

But wearing elevator high heels is hamming it up quite a bit.  And I love in the second photo that she's the one walking on the curb and her buddy is down on the street.  It also looks like she's walking in front, for some extra foreshortening effect.  That's some old-school meatspace Photoshopping shenanigans.

Funny, my first thought was, "the poor woman.. she'll never find a dick big enough for her as the dude would have to be as thick as that guy's (in the pic) forearm."

Yeah, my mind goes funny places sometimes.
