I think penguins with knighthoods who hold the rank of Colonol are awesome.

Quote
King penguin Nils Olav receives a Knighthood from the Norwegian King's Guard during a ceremony at Edinburgh zoo , Scotland August 15, 2008. Edinburgh Zoo penguin Olav has been an honorary member and mascot of the Norwegian King's Guard since the 1980s and was made Honorary Colonel-in-Chief in 2005.

pics from my vacation in Alaska. stayed for free at a friends hunting lodge. I am not a *hunter* and i think it is evident that i will never be a great warrior.

Mad skills with the rod.

when i did manage to land something more often than not instead of a pike it was this stuff.

However i discovered a super secret form of Power Bait that was a sweet sweet siren to the Pike:

and finally i landed one:

while up in alaska i learned this:

Given the choice between dressing up for a penguin and dressing up for the president, I'd take the penguin.

The orders would probably make more sense. Plus the penguin is better dressed and doesn't walk as goofy.

Lego Tableaus at Wired. This is my favorite, only because there's something just wrong about using a smiling face to depict this scene. It comes up a few times in the series. He was able to special order a prop for one image, but he couldn't special order faces with different emotes? I suppose it's possible that a core brand essence for Lego is that they're never not smiling.

In my opinion, he could either be hampered by the medium or in fact making an artistic statement about our sanitized/fake/happy/ignorant worldview on key historical events.

The image I think works best for this medium is:

It also sorta works for Raising the Flag, but that's more because of the camera angle set by the source material than anything else.

I'm pretty sure some of the Star Wars lego guys have undecided faces instead of :) faces.  However, my son has deposited them all in strategic places around the house and I don't feel like walking about barefoot to find the damn things right now.

Er, it's from the Matrix. Just an odd coincidence that they made that particular day the issuance date (movie made in 1998)
