Weird. I got to CVS all the time, and my receipts are hardly ever longer than 5 inches.

No, that's still weird.  I've gone in there to buy a single soda with cash and left with a two foot receipt.  Coupons and fine print for days.

There is definitively some cheating going with the colours(Bloom, HDR, colour saturation? *paging Iain*) but I think I don't "0ean myself too much out of the window" too much by saying to probably looks impressive in real life too.

I don't think there's a lot of saturation or vibrance added to that to be honest. It's taken around dawn which is often called 'the golden hour' by photographers because you get that very liquid, golden light spilling over everything. If I was to guess, I'd expect that there's some dodging (lightening) going on on the rock in the foreground, and a graduated filter over the sky but mostly, I'd expect that the colours are more-or-less as shot. There's a lot of clarity and sharpening going on, as well as a steeper contrast curve - which are all fairly standard for landscape photography.

Very much lots and lots and lots.  I used to live in a marina where everyone but us had some sort of yacht and even the ones that were a fraction the size of that one were very much lots.

$150 million.  Relatively cheap compared to some of the other mega yachts.

No real story they have boat canals and some of them have bridges so the boat goes above on its steady path to where it is going and the road is below it.

How much do you reckon it is ?

Wife and I were staring out to sea from a restaurant recently. Noticed the boat out front was for sale. I estimated $150,000. We walked up to it after for a look: $595,000.

I assume that's only the price to buy it and not the price to own it.  awesome, for real

A guy I know sold his boat when he moved to Seattle rather than find a place to dock it up there.  I thought about it, because he only wanted about the price of a car for it, and I could have afforded that easily -- but then I envisioned everything involved in maintaining it.  I already own one money hole.

I once talked to a dude that ran a boat shop at the marina behind where we used to live about owning a boat. At the time I thought it might be an investment. He was like "Oh hell no." That saying about how a car loses value the minute you drive it off the lot? That goes quadruple for boats. They NEVER hold their value. They are basically one long series of expenses that never ever gets better.

A boat is a hole in the water you just chuck money into.

I dunno, my sister's been living on a houseboat on the Cam in Cambridge for the last 20 years and I suspect she'd rather stay in it.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

So good so far! My eyes get tired a lot easier but that’ll most probably go back to normal. Could see and move both of my eyes as soon as they could pry them open. They had to rebuild a big part of the eye orbit with titanium mesh though. I mostly wonder what tools they used.

Shot by a friend.

Mistral 2 shooting in Poland:

Edit for context: If you know Stinger and that it's a MANPAD - for  Man Portable Air Defense System - then Mistral is a CREWPAD.

Similar system, but heavier (warhead, range, etc...), needs a pedestal, more modern
