No, of course not, but I have seen other stills of Joan Rivers that made me shiver in fear.  I actually am wondering if she hasn't managed to somehow correct some of the hideous past mistakes.  Not enough to look more pictures, mind you.

Because still images on the internet tell the whole story?

Still? That is a moving gif of her going from surprised to crying. You don't see it?  why so serious?

The old lady watches Fashion Police, probably her favorite show since she demands "FASHPO!" when it's on the DVR. Joan looks great and is sharp as a razor, mentally. One episode a few weeks backed they missed a bleep, she works so blue it's pretty funny. It's pretty much a constant dropping of F and C bombs. I might have a thing for Kelly Osbourne, though...

On this note... when I was living with my X, she used to have QVC on in the background while she cleaned. Joan will have a block of time to hock her wares (or did a few years ago at least). They could not put any host with her except for Lisa Robertson. Lisa was the only one who could hold it together while Joan was around - and the way Joan works, she'd let a few colorful words slip on occasion which I heard would send everyone scurrying from the studio save for Lisa who would just roll with it. With how tightly wound those people are on that channel, it is amazing they keep having Joan back on and more amazing Lisa continues to work there (which i am sure she is rolling in the moneyhats that place gives her). It was the only time I ever actually tuned the channel in because for whatever reason, Joan Rivers is just captivating.

Rivers is "swapping lives" with Bristol Palin for some Celebrity Wife Swap bullshit show. If they truly turned her loose up there with those bumpkins it would be epic but I doubt they will.

That's not London!

P.S. going out near the active flows at night was freaky.   Red glows everywhere.   The lava is probably in a different place now, though - I was there about 8 years ago - but if you can, do it!

You know, it's one thing to objectively know that lava is hot.  It's another to see a stick burst into flame the second it touches the lava.  That's an object lesson right there!

I don't like slugs much under the best of circumstances, but once they're larger than my fingers?  KILL IT WITH FIRE!  Making it bright red just makes it easier to tell where to spray the gasoline.

That's cruel and unnecessary.   Slugs are harmless, unless we're talking AD&D and you're down HP.

I've noticed that people who didn't encounter slugs in the wild when they were growing up have a very different reaction to them than those of us who did.  You'd be hard pressed to find a more inoffensive creature.  Despite the bright coloration, they aren't even poisonous, so the only way one could kill you would be if you choked on it.

Without even looking, I bet the ones from Australia are poisonous.   awesome, for real

And yeah, growing up in California, I have a soft spot for Banana Slugs.

I can deal with legs, I can deal with eyes, I can deal with fur, I can deal with fangs. Any sort of slimy antennae and/or tentacles wig me the fuck out.

If they were spiders I could deal. But this shit would leave me whimpering in the fetal position for days.

The world record is (or was) EIGHT?  I mean, I'm not a huge fan of snail slime, but booze me up a little first and I'd probably do that on a dare.
