GDC 2008 Expo HighlightsMost of the stuff on the floor this year was middleware or hardware that I've been seeing demos of for years and still have yet to see put to good use in an actual game. I didn't make it to any talks this year, but they're all going to be up on YouTube within the week anyway, right? My biggest highlights the fact that Havok is free now and Sony's Phrye engine. they make me happy in the pants.
