Looks like Kevin Eastman is working with David Fincher to make some new Heavy Metal animated flicks. Could be pretty awesome. I like the original with John Candy but I never got around to checking out the one from a few years ago.

I like the fact that Fincher is the guy connected to Black Hole in that Variety piece.

Real Ghostbusters had an episode where they fight Cthulu.  Enough said.  That > all.

Heavy Metal 2000 was ok, but the original still kicks its ass.  They knew they were up against a cult classic, and they tried too hard and at the same time didn't try hard enough.  It's rated R for violence, nudity and language, but it's milder than some anime out there.  It's got none of the edge of the '81 original, because we live in PC times and anything remotely as "out there" as the original was would have gotten an NC-17 and been banned from being sold in stores... which was the entire point of remaking it, cashing-in on the merchandising and nostalgia.

The past cannot be changed. The future is yet within your power.

The real Ghostbusters was freaking fantastic. J. Michael Straczynski was all over that show, and he is the bomb. I really like Extreme Ghostbusters as well.

My Genesis games... LET ME SHOW YOU THEM!
