I don't wear a watch.  Neither does Righ.  In fact, except for my father, no one in my family has ever worn a watch.  Time.  Bah.  Who cares?

Watches are the only thing I wear (besides my wedding band) for jewelry, and right now I'm wearing a Swiss Army - not very high in the bling category. If I wore suites more often I'm sure I'd have to get a nice set of cuff links, it'd only be proper.

As for Hello Kitty - there's a ton of that crap in JP .. anything you can think of probably has a HK branded version. My wife likes that it's not just little girls stuff, there's all kinds of stuff for adult women (and some crazy expensive watches I was looking at for a Christmas present).

Could never possibly wear anything Hello Kitty. Unless I had a daughter who insisted that I did. But I don't.

Pink is nice.  I might wear a pink watch but they stop working when I wear them so just pink other stuff would probably suit me better.  I'm not big on man bling.  I know it might be mean, but I think it makes them look frou frou.  I don't mind other men being frou frou but I sort of like my man to be frou frou free.

I think we needs some hand pictures for a definitive say on the subject.

I've never worn jewelry. I figure everyone else is wearing a watch so they can tell me what time it is. Actually, I never give a shit what time it is. My work computer yells out the time on the fifteens in a creepy voice (Bad News if you have OSX). So I know when it's break time, lunch time and miller time. That's all I need to know.

Mostly I can stand the constriction of rings, bracelets/watches or necklaces. I've tried to wear all of them. I really do wish I liked that stuff, I like a good spiked skull ring.

I have good scars, too. Mostly "well, I hit this guy through a plate glass window" or "this is where a splinter from the bat lodged in my chin" or "I lost this chunk of knuckle on a guy wearing braces". Good times.

I meant how do you tell time on that thing.

The same way you told time on a Swatch watch back in the 80's.

The dot's the minute hand the notch in the center is the hours. It's 12:15 in that picture. On the other watch in the tread it's 10:07.

As far as man bling I typically just wear a watch and my wedding ring.  My current watch is an old Seiko my dad bought at a PX in Vietnam back in '68 for $20.

I had to buy a watch in Japan because my cell phone (my usual timepiece) was dead there. I bought a pink kid's watch at the Sanrio store. It has My Melody on it (that was the only style that was under 2000 yen and fit me).

On the other watch in the tread it's 10:07.

Actually, the Movado ("Museum Watch") is set to 10:10. Or should be. I used to sell jewelry and the rule was always to set watches that were not running or automatics to 10:10. It is supposed to mimic a smile or a V for victory. Psychology of sales and what not. You never wanted the watch to have a frown. Heh.

I was going by normal watch mechanics, long minute hand (so on the outside) short hour hand.  They pulled a fast one on me.

It's not quite pointing to where the 2 would be if the numbers were printed on it. Given the amount of people who use digital watches these days it's not a big deal.. it's close enough.

I stepped on something on that sort of thing when I was running through someone's garden when I was little.  I have three dot scars on the top and the bottom of my foot.  Yes, it went straight through.  You can hardly see them any more, though.

I was about 14 at the time when I did it. Back then, I think I was just saying "fuck" to everything.

I gotta get a freak power tat like that though. You should post a pic
