I'm not entirely sure why Tourettes is the handicap that's OK to make fun of tbh.
I know teachers who mock the Tourettes kid in their school, even when amongst non-teachers, which strikes me as grossly inappropriate. If the kid in question had Downs syndrome, for instance, nobody would even smirk and if they were overheard by management they'd lose their jobs. But Tourettes? Knock yourselves out.
I'm not trying to be pious or politically correct, I'm just not sure why that one is OK to laugh at but others aren't.
