In my very limited experience, that's the driver of about 95% of "ball to painful place" incidents. Most plain missed catches tend to be off to the side or something. I suck at baseball, actually I suck at any sport involving hand-eye coordination, but from personal experience I can assure you that deep down, in the lizard part of your brain, there's a super-fucking-fast bit that says "HOLY SHIT! FAST MOVING OBJECT TOWARDS THE FACE! THROW YOUR HAND UP!" in even a shitty player like myself. So I'd go with bad bounce too. At least it was from a throw -- might not even have lost a tooth. |

b is right out. The x-ray image (as well as the image on the side) has the casing on it, the casing is not fired with the round, it's used to hold the charge and primer before firing. No, for that to have the casing on it, it would need to have been placed there (if it's not a shop). |
