I'm guessing it's more about the way that the existing, biodegradable, free wrapping has been replaced with plastic.

That moment while you're listening to a mellow and romantic song on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbrSO81KhBY), and you catch this in the comments section:  #poetry

Isn't that the truth. I'm happy with Windows 7 but will the pop-up ever go away? NEVER.

(Seriously, I haven't paid any attention to Windows 10. I know it exists, and that's it).

It actually is pretty good. No sarcasm. There's just not a reason not to upgrade if your computer can handle it.

It depends on the edition. If you own Win7 Ultimate, several of the features were removed (in 8 actually) so if you use those you need alternatives. If you use Windows Media Center, upgrading is not feasible as well.

For people just using home edition, I can't disagree with your comment though.

I think I have Windows 7 professional, but I don't use 90% of it. As long as my NAS and games still work, I don't care that much.

Your games may cease to work

And you get to learn some new computer skills while wrestling Win 10 into doing something like what you want it to do, again.

And that's assuming you don't have some *slightly* odd hardware/software combo that results in you getting the "we-couldnt-install-windows-10-error-0xc1900101-0x20017 so we're reverting back to the previous operating system and oh it'll just be another hour while we "clean up" the install" after hours of "updating" issue.

Yeah. Other than that, it runs pretty smooth.

Upgraded to 10, have had zero issues with games (some run more stable than they did on 7 actually).

Actually, I used Windows Media Center for MP3's on my Win 7 installation. When I upgraded to Win 10, I can still use Media Center, it's just not my default media player when I click on a video or sound file. My Win7 Media Center playlists and music library carried over.

Of course, that wouldn't be the case on a new installation but I was just talking about upgrades.

One of my users reports that she didn't click the icon, but now it says that she has to upgrade and there's no option to stop that or reschedule it.

Should be able to reschedule after sneaky Windows Update installs the last level of 'You WILL comply' nagware. But you will have to reschedule it every day.

Hey, I've been doing it on my android phone for almost a year, heh.
