"When I was young, your grandparents - the ones born in the 50s, 60s, and 70s - destroyed the world as we know it - mostly due to Christianity. And this is why you were raised without religion. Not because they were necessarily Christian but because they were too dumb to think for themselves and raised children to dumb to think for themselves. Our politicians were mostly racists and homophobes and hid behind a veil of said religion. They were greedy and egotistical and unable to comprehend the far-reaching effects of their tunnel-vision assisted decisions, and now you will be lucky to see 30. We didn't learn until too late that our elders shouldn't be respected, they should be treated exactly as well as they deserve - which is poorly."

That's the conversation we'll likely be having when we look like that drawing. But I guess that doesn't make for a very funny comic.

Comparing pictures, Mr. Fusion would sit up much higher than that. Or, at least it did in the movie.

I don't see the appeal in those things anymore. You pay more, get less, and really... they are just not that great of a cookie.

They are all less good than some cookies I found randomly in a convenience store in Glasgow.  So if the British Isles can generate a better cookie...

Buy popcorn!

The popcorn isn't expensive, either, it's just packaged fucking poorly.

People pay $3.50 or more for a box of cookies because "hey, $3.50!"  The price fix is set, so you buy fucking 24 and don't realize "Shit I just spent $84!"

Meanwhile, Boy Scout popcorn is set at $20 for 18 bags of popcorn. ($1.11/ bag)   Cheaper than Reddenbocker or ActII or whatever it is people buy at the store (Around here it's $6 for 3 goddamn bags. - $2/bag)  but since you say "$20" they're instantly turned off.  It's more than they want to pay so they pass.

Trail's End popcorn has terrible, terrible businesspeople.

Oh.. and only SOME GS cookies are worth it.  I haven't found anything to compare to Thin Mints and Lemonades. The rest are meh.

Mint Oreos are better than Thin Mints.

Mint Double stuffed Oreos are better than Mint Oreos.

Mint Oreo Dippers are even better than Mint Double Stuffed.

And this is all with an acute understanding of how amazing thin mints are.

I do agree about trail's end having bad marketing/business people. I don't want to pay $20 for a single box of popcorn, though I don't mind paying $20 for a shit ton of popcorn at $1.2x per bag with a lot of the proceeds going to help fund BSoA.

Also, maybe I'm odd, but I'm a sucker for the samoas and tag-a-longs.

I like Samoas, I always buy a box, plus a couple boxes of thin mints to put in the freezer. I eat one or two a day, until the gf finally can't control herself and binges on all the remaining ones. Then I am sad.

I saw that someone...somehow, got a flatscreen TV through the pouch. Not all that big, and it was a pretty thin box, but still...

Also, you'd be amazed how much good will you can garner with simple stuff that can be hard to get here. GS Cookies are not sold here, so there's that...but also anything liquid, like salsa or certain liquors. I don't even drink often, but I definitely miss spiced rum for rum and cokes.

Too bad the cookies will probably be somewhat melted by the time they get here, so they'll sit in the freezer for a bit before being usable. And then I have to not gorge on them...  Ohhhhh, I see.

The Keebler brand cookies are pretty good substitutes for Thin Mints.  I really wish you got more in a box of some of the other cookies though.  I love the Peanut Butter Patties or whatever they're called, but having a stinking plastic tray and it sucking up so much space, buying a box is more to help the GS than to get the cookies (still... cookies!)

Mother's Iced Lemonade cookies used to be pretty good (haven't been able to find them on the shelves around me for a while, tempted to buy some off Amazon just for nostalgia's sake).

Is this the funny picture thread or the food Girl Scout Cookie discussion thread?
As a recently discovered gluten intolerant, any discussion of food gives me flashbacks that are a mix of pangs of desire and extreme pain.
