That was ridiculous.  Giants bring folding to a new art.

Told you. The Giants are choke artists. No matter the fact that they have a better team than the Bucs, they will lose their playoff game next weekend. They just suck under Coughlin at the big game, ANY big game. Their defensive backfield is full of asshats who can't cover a convent's seniors team, much less actual professional NFL receivers. The fact that they even made it close was a miracle.

As for Brady, I don't hate him. He's just a fantastic QB, in a machine-like system that makes mediocre athletes excel, and great athletes into Hall-of-Famers. I hate Randy Moss with a passion, but not just anybody could make those plays. Hell, many NFL receivers couldn't have gotten his hands on that underthrown bomb that preceeded the TD pass. For instance, Reggie Brown of the Eagles? Yeah, he'd have missed it.

The Pats are going 19-0. It sucks, but that's the way it is. The best games left on the schedule will be the Pats-Colts and Cowboys-Packers showdowns.

EDIT: Billick fired for realz.

Probably for the best. Offensive genius he was not. The Ravens were fucking awful this year once McNair started getting hurt. Who wants to bet on John Fox (Carolina) being the next guy shitcanned? Him or the dude in Miami.

I really hate not being able to post at work.  I think Stray covered how ridiculous your assumptions are not to mention flat out making stuff up out of whole cloth to justify your irrational hatred of someone you have never met.

Cameron is likely since they just fired the GM.  I think Fox stays, Delhomme went out early for them and the drop off from him was huge.

Anyone watch the Ravens game and think that perhaps Troy Smith might not be that bad of a pro quarterback given some time to develop?

Maybe.  The Boller experiment is most likely over, but right now you could throw Brady behind that offensive line and he'd be out by week 5 with multiple concussions.    Before we go sacrifice another QB, I'd like to make sure he gets some protection.

I like him - he can throw, he can run, he's looked good but made mistakes (as you would expect a rookie QB to make). Moreover, he's the best QB on their roster (including McNair in his current state, obviously a 1999-2002 era McNair would be superior but that is not the McNair that is now McNair…)  which means he should play, experience or no experience.

In the "obvious dumbass is obvious" department:

Pacman Jones was in a strip club. Again.

This time he punched a woman... who happens to be an attorney. Lulz.

Tigers don't change their stripes. This guy isn't going to stop going to strip clubs and getting into trouble until he's either dead or in jail. Hopefully the latter.

When you literally tell the Football commissioner you're going to stay out of clubs, then you punch a divorce-lawyer who is involved in one of your own cases INSIDE a strip club, you've crossed the line from ordinary stupid into superhuman stupid.

Holy crap, that's some epic fail at life there.

I mean, you have a shitton of money from playing football. That almost never-ending faucet of money, fame and celebrity will continue to RAIN down upon you, so long as you don't fuck it up. All you have to do is not shoot at people, not beat up strippers and stay out of the clubs. Seriously, HOW FUCKING HARD IS THAT? If you just don't do these things, you will be financially set for fucking life, you ignorant cunt. Is it really that hard to choose NOT to go into a club? Is it that hard to not punch a bitch attorney in the face?

What a goddamn failure as a human being.

Ghetto mentality. He'd rather piss it all away and "keep it real" than be disrespected in front of his homies. I'm sure the lawyer knew this and played him like a fiddle - female lawyers don't generally frequent strip clubs, I would imagine.

So a female lawyer is above looking at some titties?  What if she's lesbian?  Bi-sexual?  Or, hanging out with friends?

What you do for a living or how much education you have has no bearing how much class you have.  And further to that, going to a strip club doesn't necessarily mean you're scum.

No, it doesn't. However, getting in trouble once, pronouncing your avoidance of such establishments and then getting busted again later, does scream scumbucket.

Sure she could have been there by chance, not saying it's impossible. It just would not surprise me in the least if she went there at least hoping to provoke him into doing something stupid.

Edit - Story now says she was there for a divorce case involving the strip club, not involving Pacman. So no, looks like she was just there and he was so stupid he couldn't help hitting her.

McNair is announcing his retirement this afternoon.   An absolutely great QB in his time, but one that I'm glad to see retire while he has some amount of dignity left instead of dragging the team down for another season.

Chad Johnson is one of the few mouthy wideouts I actually do like. I'm sure he just got fed up with not being the marquee guy and playing on a team whose defense chokes more than a pornstar at a gangbang.

Also, McNair retiring is sad. What was sadder is seeing him get pounded behind some really shitty offensive lines, taking a lot more bad hits than he should have.

If I was an NFL owner, I would vote to remove the forward pass from the game and eliminate the WR position altogether. 8 out every 10 self-involved loudmouth asshats seem to play WR. Be nice to hear the deafening silence as they are standing in the unemployment line.

The Ravens need a front four that does something more than just lay down the red carpet for the defense.  It shortened McNair's career, all but ruined Boller's chances, and will kill Smith if they go with him as the QB.   With Ogden retiring (once he stops being coy about it), hopefully we'll see some trades and drafts to protect whomever ends up in the hot seat.

McNair had a great career and its sad to see him go, but honestly, I certainly wasn't real happy to hear that he was originally planning on coming back this year.  Even before he got started in on the injuries, it was pretty obvious that he was struggling and had lost a step.
The injuries just exacerbated the problem.

Funny how that is. It's because WR's can score points but they hardly ever get hit. It's probably the biggest pussy job in the whole sport next to kicking. You don't hear runningbacks talk a lot of shit because they are always getting beat up. If they start talking trash, the O-line just has to take one play off for them to shut up for good.

WR's get hit plenty. In an open field fashion at that.

Not to say there aren't loudmouths, but gtfo out of the football thread if you don't like wide receivers.

I looked over the schedule.  I have to miss 5 games and grit my teeth through a 6th when watching my team in a bar because we're playing in the same timeslot as the Eagles.  I'd rather steal the coverage via internet streaming or even pay espn to watch or listen online then deal with their fucking brand of stupid postering.

Wow you are a classy fucking idiot.  He got hit so damn hard in that game.

Nobody would ever accuse the guy of being smart but he loves football and he loves to win.  He loves himself too but that comes 3rd which is a great deal better then at least half the #1 WR's in the league.  I dont know why I'm even getting involved, f13 doesn't get sports for shit.  Thats how I feel every time I ever read a sports thread around here...
