Ah, I see. I haven't really tried to do this at all in the field, though I did used to have an iPad in my camera backpack.

Yeah, I should clarify, that the thing I was missing in Lr was the mirrored Live View screen. I don't really care about having no remote control feature in Lr - it wouldn't really make sense for Adobe to add it anyway as they'd have to make it compatible with so many different models and brands, it would be a significant amount of effort to keep it updated. They don't even always manage to support new RAW formats for major brands, I can't imagine how they'd handle a Fuji firmware update that changes the way that XA2s report aperture info to the body or something.

Are you in the beta fork, Iain? I swear they had live view in there. I can check when I get home. I booted up my old beta build and I do see a "Lv" button on the tether floating window.

edited to add: yeah, they're working on live view for Canon and Nikon as of Aug 21

edited edited edited to addited: Looking over the current patch notes, there is focus control through the tether window if the lens is in AF mode. I also see other controls...I'll have to play with it Sunday (got roped into Hamilton on Sat, hope it doesn't suck).

Went to Chiang Rai at the weekend. Got soaked in a downpour while riding through the middle of nowhere on the back of a moped. Good times.

This is the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), it's utterly mad.
