A few moments ago, I turned 30.

I am home alone, surfing on f13.net and the first half of my life is over.

I am not depressed or sad, just bored. :-D

And suddenly I feel old.

Oh, btw. I will have a semi-big party in a week from now, so if you are is in the neighbourhood ... evil

Wait till you're 45. You're even more bored, with the added bonus of random parts of your body aching for no reason other than they're just tired of working.

Happy birthday!  Thirty sucks for a little while until you realize the next nine years are cake, nothing to worry about until you hit forty!  Got a nice easy decade in front of you, grats.

I turned 31 on May 19. I was only shittier than turning 30 if you really buy in with all of that over the hill claptrap.

The only depression I got at my 30th birthday was about me not getting depressed like promised by so many other people. Well, maybe at 40.

Happy Birthday!!  Sorry I'm late.  Hope the party is a smashing success!

Milestone birthdays are fun.  I get one in September, and I can't decide if I'm not going to be depressed like I was turning 30 or if I'm going to be depressed and make the husband nuts in the process.  I'll probably just celebrate by teasing my mom about how she now has 2 of 4 children over 40 with another one to hit next year.   cheesy

I didn't find turning 30 to be a big deal. When we have a kid, THEN I'll feel old.

Suprisingly, 30 didn't bother me. 35 was depressing though, for some reason. Just giving you something to look forward to.

35 sucks it. 30 you still have some hope, if only that all the shit talking you hear about being "over the hill" is just bullshit. It's not. Prepare for the desparate, slow slide into old age.

Happy birthday!
