If you get that barcode, make sure you shave your head first and put it on the back.

Biology isn't fun and interesting?

I don't know what could be fun and interesting about all organic matter in the universe.

I'm going to go listen to some more fitty cent.

Is it possible to get a sculpture relatively accurately transposed into a tat?  I've thought for a long time that Michelangelo's Pieta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Michelangelo%27s_Pieta_5450_cropncleaned.jpg would be cool, it's always been my favorite sculpture (note that I have no well-developed appreciation for any visual art, was raised Catholic, and am a momma's boy at heart, so it's not exactly a shocker).  I'll never do it sober (because I am a wuss), and won't let myself do it drunk (because I'd probably ask for the Pieta with Shmi Skywalker holding Kurt Cobain), but I am curious if it is possible.

Do you know any places where I could see pictures of classical/renaissance art in tattoo form?  I really want to see what they look like.

This post makes me want to squeeze into my badass red jeans.

Just putting the DNA bands on yourself isn't what I thought you meant, I was all for writing GCAG or whatever in bar code.  If it is even possible to tattoo barcode, why not just put your name on there?  Or maybe KAISER SOZE, I don't know.

If you can't find a bar code font, I can make one available.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

I've got a barcode on the inside of my left wrist. No, it won't scan.

Don't most bar codes have white backgrounds so they'll scan properly? Either way, I like lilly's idea cause it has a meaning behind having a bar code on you.

They fucked up your bar code.  How embarassing.  Are you sure, though?  Did you try and have it scanned?  It probably says "half a tin of pineapple" anyway.

How would the barcode know whether it was half full or not?

Hey, that's MY job.

I'm sorry, you're right. I am completely wrong on this one.

Truly, YOU would be the one able to determine, via barcode, whether a tin of pineapples was full or half full.

I've got a barcode on the inside of my left wrist. No, it won't scan.

Then it's a shitty scanner or the barcode is incomplete.

/derail

Scanners from the last three years have been able to read arm hair more than 50% of the time (provided there is contrast between your arm hair and your skin).  The newest ones no longer use a "true" laser to read the barcode.  They use a "laser picture" system to create a virtual or 2D picture image; this is the first step to dispensing with barcode reading technology having to read the white spaces between the lines and being able to distinguish the actual properties of an item.  Such as reading the skin of an orange and knowing that it is an orange.

/rerail

I can't decide on something that'd I'd want on my body for the rest of my life.  Which, to me, means... not a good time to get a tat.

Ok, so in the last three posts we have the following:
 - flirting
 - 2 girls and a guy
 - prominant displaying of boobs
 - a monkey
 - a furry animal
 - lesbianism
 - poo on a wall
 - a large banana
 - did the monkey's religion come in to this? No? I've lost track.

I am very confused. And oddly, slightly turned on.

Tonight's homework:

Sorry about the shitty photo quality.  Actually, it's not done anyway.  I'm going to pack a little purple into the gaps between the vertebrae for the spinal column, and also add some veins and things like that later on.  Marcus didn't want to go there tonight, though, I think he had enough.  For the record, spine tattoos aren't fun...  Who knew?    evil

I was reading this article and found out that they are making a new kind of ink which will break down with one laser treatment.  An erasable tattoo if you will, it doesn't go on sale until the fall though.  Just ignore the paragraphs talking about "lymph nodes" and "toxic", I'm sure they aren't pertinent wink.

Har.

Since you resurrected the thread I thought I'd share the happy news...  One of the people I've tattooed in the past called me up, and apparently his dentist is getting a new chair.  They're giving the old chair away with the attached lights, hydraulics, etc, so now I can convert my spare bedroom over to a fully functional tattoo studio.  I'm going hydraulic, fools!  No more putzing around at the dining room table contorting people in awkward positions so I can get at 'em easier.  Suhweet.
