Dude, that is awesome!

You have no idea how often I make fun of the "girly" tattooes.  I'll always tell guys, "Well, why not a unicorn running on a rainbow being ridden by a fairy while dolphins are jumping in the background!"

Great to see it all brought together into one image of perfection.   :-D

It reminds me of the Threadless tee with two unicorns humping under a rainbow.

Haven't done, don't have.

Personally I think it's just kind of a cheesy gimmick.

I love this other side of Big Gulp.  It makes it seem as if he's almost alive!

20 years from now, there is going to be a whole generation of people really regretting those tatoos that seemed so trendy at the time...

I used to think that too - but I'm not quite so sure now.  Right now being in your mid-40s and going to parent & teacher night with an armband tat, or something on your shoulderblade or just above your arse crack, is unusual and so some people would prefer to be rid of their tatts.  but in 20 years time a lot of people at parent & teacher nights are going to have tatts, albeit a bit saggy due to them not being young and fit any more.  So I don't think there will be quite so many people wanting laser surgery as we may expect.

Time will tell of course...

Or, we'll have crazy-ass nanomachines helping us stay in shape, so they won't be saggy and ugly.  tongue

I see plenty of tats on the parents at my kids' school.  I keep waiting for tats to go away, because after all, how edgy and hip can it be to get a tat when it seems like every other soccer mom has one?

Lots of kids have earrings too (elementary school).

Young people used to be hip and edgy.  They wouldn't have been caught dead wearing something either elementary school kids wore or parents wore.

I'm so sick of hip and edgy.  It's really neither, it's just tired and stale and boring.

I'm currently contemplating a lot of shit.

The text from Nameless One's back.
One of the Disgaea characters.
f13.net is a must. or just f13.
Possibly one of the Atelier Iris punis.

Lots of shit.

Oh, and Cecil as a dark knight on one arm and as a paladin on the other, alternatively on the calves...

So many things are worth scarring my skin forever.

I'm most likely going to do the Deus Ex logo on my wrist though. Possibly a Torment logo on the other.

Oh, to decide.

Just need to make sure I don't look like Kratos when I'm done.

I would go with F13 over F13.net.

This talk of people complaining that tattoos are just hip and trendy and soon will no longer be is BS. It's about decorating yourself with designs that appeal to you in the same way you'd dress yourself with clothes or makeup, or marking yourself with something of significance to you for personal/emotional/spiritual reasons: important time in your life, lesson you learned, person you love(d), etc. It might just be some stupid fad to some people, but it's so much more to so many others.

My next tattoo I want crossing the top of my foot and ankles somehow... still have to figure out a good flow. I dunno about an ankle being slutty... that shit hurts, so it must be redeeming somehow. Right? Personally, I would *never* get ink of a videogame character (or any other kind of... commercial property), but hey... whatever you want man. Good luck.

schild's new avatar gets me thinking he should have written somewhere on his tattoo "It takes different strokes to move the world."

Heck, the workout program to end up looking like Kratos would also satisfy your "lose some pounds" mission.

I also dig those 8-bit ones, although the dragon that I recognize but can't place is a bit grainy that close up ;)

That's what happens when your parents refused to buy consoles and you had to get your NES and SNES fix over at someone else's house.

I agree, though, that that wouldn't be a very good tat.  And, Schild, I know you're on your pixelicious kick right now, but keep in mind that believe it or not, those involve a shitload of linework.  Every little individual block on the outside of that zombie to simulate shading?  Yeah, those have to be individually lined in.

That doesn't really bother me.  You, on the other hand, might be very bothered by it.   evil

I think the Deus Ex logo screams shoulder or pectoral, not wrist.  It would always look upside down.

You can bring 3oz of each liquid now.  So, in theory, you could still do it.  There'd just not be a TON of ink....although I don't think any of my tats required more than 1 oz of ink total....of course, I'm not the guy with the gun, so I have no clue.
I loved the SNL skit on this one (Dane Cook iirc). Basically:

Why 3oz?
Because 4oz could blow up the plane.
What's to stop two people putting their 3oz together?
Next question.

I have nothing against tattoos for others, but growing up on a farm I'm fairly certain me getting one would lead to official designation as White Mountain Trash (tm).  As an exercise in cognitive dissonance, though, the Harvard seal is tempting....I could be like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse!

EDIT: And schild, is an F13 one a good idea?  The nature of the internets is capricious, and 5 years from now the community could be at www.starwarsthread.com...

Somehow I see someone waking up after a bender, and discovering F13 tat'd on their forehead.

Splendid, but NSFW: http://www.ronbingham.com/tattoo-images/willy-tattoo.jpg Personally, this one would freak me out when heading south.

And more seriously, I think a Cthulhu tatt would pwn, but I'm a huge Lovecraft fan.
