I have a toon that I have used exclusivley for low level PvP. Got her to 19 and ground out the battlefield rewards for that bracket, and now that I'm returning to WoW, I loaded her up again.
Got to get er to 29 now, but I was wondering with all the Arena madness, if Battlegrounds were still viable for PvP rewards and all that...

At 70? Sure, you can get a full set of season one arena gear, all the vindicator's items, and the battlemaster's trinket for honor points. Lots and lots of honor grinding await!
Search wowhead for gladiator's, vindicator's, and battlemaster's for details. The plain old gladiator's is honor gear, the merciless and vengeful are bought with arena points.
If you mean for 29 twinks there are a few new items from AB that you couldn't get at 19. But unless you're staying 29 a while you might as well just save up honor for your level 70 items. Arena items don't effect 29 BGs btw.
Note that level 61-70 AV is FUBAR. Consider stopping at level 60 and collecting AV tokens. Pausing at 69 to collect other tokens and save up honor isn't a bad idea either. At 69 you're top of the food chain in AB/WS/EoS. As a new 70 you're a speed bump in AB/WS/EoS.

Yah, that's what I meant. I made this twink because I didn't want to grind battleground rewards against people with (then) raid gear or (now) arena gear. So it looks like I'm cool.  Thx. |

Hay. I play for the fun of twinking out a lowbie and pew pewin. If it gets too grindy, I'll just move on again. It's mostly just an experiment, since this is my first serious twink. |

Oh I misread and thought you meant you were twinking out your character at 70. That honor grind is obscene and should be outlawed. Twinking with honor is actually a lot of fun and I've done it myself.

I haven't played the new AV very much yet because people annoy the hell out of me while playing it due to their lack of grasping basic tactics, but before the change 200k honor wasn't that bad. I got about 120k in a single AV weekend and that was less than 10 hours a day. Push yourself hard one weekend and you've got the full set.
