Is it worth either buying one of figuring out how to make mine work on my PC? I have a ton of old space fighter sims I've been itching to break out but honestly, flight stick joysticks never seem to last more than a few months for me before breaking. (Usually one axis goes out which does at least make the games more challenging when I can only turn left or something.)

I do. I also have those plugin usb charger/controller cords. So I was thinking that might work too.

At least the normal 360 controllers are plug and play.

Using a Xbox360 controller right now (the wired one). I had to download the driver before it worked on my XP box. I wasn't stupid enough to install Vista to try yet.

If you buy the "normal" wired Xbox 360, you'll need to download the drivers from MS. If you buy the wired Xbox 360 controller for Windows, it'll come with a driver CD in box. For the wireless controller, you'll need the dongle as others have said. As for getting it to work? It's basically PnP like any other gamepad. Also, if a game is GFW branded (TR: Anni and Overlord at least), the keypad configuration will actually show "A" and "Left Trigger" instead of "Button 1" and "X Axis", so that's ten times more friendly. As for games with no/shitty gamepad support, I'd recommend downloading Xpadder. Between it and GFW stuff you shouldn't have any problems getting the 360 controller to work smoothly.
