Looks decent to me.  When I started with my Caracal, I had a mix between heavy and assault launchers due to cpu limitations, with the exact amount depending (anywhere from 2-4 heavies).  There are a lot of skills in the Electronics and Engineering disciplines you can use to support the use of your Caracal, which allow for larger, better, and more efficient use of your modules, plus the oddly located Weapons Upgrade skill under Gunnery.   |

I think you're running L2 missions? Here is what I was running --
 HI:
 5x 'Limos' Assault launchers

 MED:
 Medium Shield Booster II
 Shield Boost Amplifier
2x Active Shield Hardeners -- enemy dependant
 Y-S8 Afterburner

 LOW:
 PDS
 BCU

The med slots are the only ones that are a place where you can change the face of your ship. If you go heavies, fit a painter. If you are running into cap problems with running a booster, fit a couple shield hardeners (the active kind) to mitigate taking the damage in the first place.

Also, where are you at? I recently got a nice named Med Shield extender (F-S9 I think) I would give to you if we can manage the hook up.

On the subject of named stuff...
Named shield hardeners are really worth looking at because they're relatively cheap and offer the same level of protection but with lower fitting needs.

Named launchers can expensive (especially the nice Arbalest ones), but their faster RoF and larger magazines really complement stronger missile skills once you have the experience to avoid losing ships to missions / rats.

If you are fighting mainly frigates, then it seems like assault launchers would work much better. They are easier to fit than heavies. |

Or stay with heavies and stick a webber on - had an inty guy attack me the other day and came to a very quick and sticky end when he got into web range    |
