I don't think the Cylons were worried about that, it appears individualism is a new problem for them.

Except Caprica Six has been all the rage for 3 months before Boomers rebirth.  And Caprica Six thinks the only reason they were paired together was to tear her down in the publics eye, and to erode her star/individual status.

Which, I guess could have been the entire reason why Boomer was reborn there; to set Six off.  But then I don't see why you couldn't find another way of her finding out without letting Boomer spread dissent among the gen pop, or how they knew Baltar being alive would cause her to betray her beliefs and race.

Again, I think you can chalk that up to a lack of people skills and lack of an understanding what a threat individualism is.  I bet this is the first time in history of the Cylon Race, they have had to manage disgruntled personal.  And they are doing a very poor job of it.

Maybe they rez the skinnies on a different ship, or planetside?

How do we know she wasn't rezzed on the Resurrection ship and then stuck on a transport back to Caprica?

We don't. We're speculating.  One of the fun parts of quality Sci-Fi.

The reason I discount that is that is a) it appears the same 3 was there to greet both, which means 3 would have had to gone to res ship seems like a hassle with b) its established that Cylons love networks so why make a hardcopy and transport it when you email the soft copy to Caprica and make a hardcopy there.

There are some serious ontological issues with the Cylon copies.  I wouldn't be surprised if Cylon start question if their "souls" get transfered or just data does.  If Cylon Dogma comes under question it means big trouble for the theocracy.

Another idea why they sent Boomer to Caprica: maybe a Cylon's first death is the most traumatic, so they send all first timers to special place to help them with the transition.

Boomer's death was before the res ship was destroyed.

Are we sure they only have the one res ship? I got the feeling it was the one that was covering the cyclon attack on the humans, but never got the impression it was the res ship.

Besides, they make multiple copies of everything else, why would they only make one copy of such an important ship?

Pegisus Six seemed to think so.  And Air-Lock Guy wasn't sure if there was one close enough.  At least, they are rare and have a lot of space to cover.

If it's that easy for the Cylons to beam around their 'souls', why bother with a res ship at all?  They could just set up multiple redundant data relay satellites all over their known 'verse and have the actual resurrection site on their homeworld.  It hasn't really been established how much distance jump capable ships can cover, but it seems to be a lot given how far away the fleet was from Caprica when Starbuck made a single jump back there.  Much safer to have the res site at a secure location instead of bringing it with you, even if it's behind the lines.

My guess is the Cylons have to worry about whatever FTL signal their using degrading if it's sent over too far a distance, so they built that res ship.  Which is why I think Sharon was ressed on the ship.  Jump technology seems to be more effective than communication/data transfer technology, at least over interstellar distances.

Over and out.

It's a plot device that hasn't been well thought-through.  You guys are starting to sound like Star Trek geeks arguing over the Bose-Heisenburg compensators on transporters.

I have no internet at home - someone download the podcast from Itunes and see if the details are spilled.

Hey while we're at it, how come Obi-Wan couldn't force push the buzz droids off his ship?  And why the fuck did they make buzz droids, anyways?  Wouldn't, like, a BOMB do the job just fine?  That's like making a bullet that stops mid-air and tries to inject its target with cyanide.

And if Darth Sidious's lightsaber went out the window when he was fighting Mace Windu, where'd he get the new one when he was fighting Yoda?

The whole thing's fucked up.

Llava, gaps in plot are not what we talking about.  If you think there is a gap in how they handled Boomer's resurection please share.

Her hawtness has nothing to do with the popularity of her character.  Nothing.  At All.  Honest.

Also, don't bring that mans artwork to the forums again.  He doth offend mine eye.

I'm just psyched they brought in Gurney Halleck to play his Baliset for the score of first 15 minutes of this week's episode.

I loved the old music playing in the Xena documentary.  That was fucking stunning.  Way to be retro, tip your hat to the old skool and actually give the scene some drama.  This is a damn good show.

Now, if only they got the starbuck/boomer lesbian thingy going.

How about that last SG-1, eh?

Finally we have new Ghoauld. Please don't kill them for a gadzillion seasons, I can't go through another season like the previous one and the bigger part of this one.

As a matter of fact I swallowed one of these about two hours ago and the explanation is that it is, in fact, my hand.

Of course he kept a spare.  He's not honorable or anything.

Don't watch SG-1 but I do watch SG-A... season finale, oh noes, time to trot out the approaching hive ship again.  At least Ronin didn't go on a punching spree again.  Thank Jebus for Pileggi.

Now that I've finally caught up, this is a good point. We don't know that she wasn't rezzed on the rez ship and brought back to Galactica. Of course, Six's ressurection looked to be in the same place, but that might just be that none of the Cylons have enough individualism to make the res chambers look different in different places. They don't know the Feng Shui or whatnot.

Really, I never even stopped to give a shit whether or not she was rezzed on the ship or the planet, because it mattered fuckall to the story. Stop being nerds.
