I recently enjoyed my SWAT 4 re-install with my neighbour and we'd really love to have more games like these since we get kinda bored with Battlefield and Counterstrikes, we're hoping those who played a lot more small team co-op games can share with us the good ones. I've heard good things about R6 series but Ubisoft don't seem to have a good reputation on their PC ports.

Gears of War is on the PC now, I can't think of a better coop shooter.

Doesn't GoW require some kind of Live Gold for PC?

Actually, does a XBL Gold membership give PC access?

Not with Gears as far as I'm aware.  No Live required, no Vista required.  Epic wouldn't put up with the bullshit Bungie was forced to, I guess.

yeah they need to drop 'this is serious business' looks and go with the old style of the TV cartoons.
Here's hoping they will not adhere to that concept art and render the old Ecto 1 in its full glory.

Talk about memory rape. Anyway, coop.

I would say that GoW is a good one. RB6 is fun, but playing through the story mode is a bit annoying. Might want to hold out for RB6V2, not sure when thats slated for release. There is also Army of Two, but the coop in that game feels so forced. Where in RB6 if you see a SWAT shield, one of you can pick it up, and the other can hide behind you, if you want. In Ao2, its like FLASHING SHIELD HERE!!!!!!! Pick it up HERE!!!! Hey look guys, you can both hide behind the shield. OK DO IT NOW NOW NOW.

Basically all the cool little moments in RB6V are forced on you in Ao2. Now thats not totally bad, but I have much more fun in RB6 than Ao2.

Why the hell would you need body armour going up against ghosts? They're not known for breaking out the AKs.

The Ghost Containment Unit is now located at Gitmo. Ghosts have no human rights, after all.

Army of Two and I'm not even sure it's available for the PC, plus it lasts about 6 hours from beginning to end.

The music industry needs to put a restraining order on Akroyd. YOU ARE NOT ELWOOD. IT WAS A CHARACTER IN A BIT.

His radio show is ok, though. Except for the Elwood schtick.

R6 V didn't work too well on my neighbour's PC, when the smoke grenade's out his framerate would drop like a ton of bricks. Pretty disappointed, but the single player was quite a blast I admit, except it's a little rough around the edges.

Anymore less rig demanding co-op shooter games? I was thinking of Serious Sam.

Tell your buddy to just buy a console.  Apparently he doesn't want to upgrade his PC, so just make the transition, already.

Actually the game was Akroyd's idea. He has wanted to do another Ghostbusters movie for years, but only with the original cast. Bill Murray has shut this idea down repeatedly by saying, "We are too fucking old to do even a comedy action movie."

Akroyd then thought to do a CG movie, Murray thought that was a pretty good idea. I have no idea what happened with that. I think it turned into this game.

I think Bill Murray should reprise his Caddyshack character.

In Iraq.
