I'm posting from my parents since my cable connection is down.  I also can't seem to get anyone to answer at the tech support center for my cable provider.  I'm looking for some advice or direction from you guys.

-Cable worked fine in the AM. Cable not working in the afternoon when I get home.
-Reset wireless router, reset cable modem.
-Checked all cables and connections.
-Disconnect router so I have a straight connection to the wall.
-No hardware issues shown in WinXp, System Devices, etc.
-Cable modem still shows "four greens".  No missing or blinking indicator lights.
-Spyware scan clean, anti-virus scan clean.
-First level operators (non tech support) at my provider tell me they show no errors or issues for my area or address in their systems.
-Command prompt: tried release/renew my ip, flushdns, re-register, ect.  No worky.  Although I do show an IP and subnet mask when I ipconfig /all.
-I don't see anything out of place (to my amateur eyes) in my network cards TCP/IP, etc.
-Swapped out my tower for my old comp that now resides in my family's office. Same process as above, same result as below.

After all that I still have "Limited or no connectivity at this time" and "not able to renew your IP address".  I'm stumped because it seems like a provider issue, but in the limited amount I've been able to speak to them they don't show anything obviously wrong.  Still in the process of trying to break through to tech support, but I'd appreciate your guys input.

Comcast in the Maryland Region? I had this problem this morning, but had to run to work before having a chance to troubleshoot more than just powercycling/repair.  Hoping it goes away tonight when I get home.

It looks like you covered most of the basics. You don't torrent alot or use peer to peer downloads do you? A couple of years ago when I was working at Cox, people whose uploads showed as high would get suspended. On their end everything looked fine but they couldn't connect.

Does your cable modem have an activity light? Is it flashing? Sometimes I've had all green but no activity and when I reset the modem I get the one or two blinking lights that indicates a dead connection.

Got it all resolved, was a combination of little things after a power flicker.  Thanks for the help though Fur.
