EQ2 has released screenshots of 4 new class profession hats.  A real mixed bag here - like most of the hats.  They are either drop-dead fantastic or "Are you kidding me?".  I would hate to be a fury/warden, waiting for profession hats that were supposed to be released with the "Kingdom of Sky" expansion...than after a year getting a frickin dissappointing hat (No wonder they put them on female elven characters for the screenies).  On the other hand, the Warlock hat kicks ass.

Warlock

Necromancer

Wardem

Better a ring of leaves than an acorn cap.

I have never played WoW.

Yeah and the second one is the Warlock hat.  They're flip flopped.

I have also played games for the hats.  Enough cool hats can make up for a lot.

Don't you have to be like level 90 in an uberguild to get a goddamned hat?

I don't know, I still haven't made it to high enough level to see the Arab stuff.

No guild requirements, but yeah you start to see different versions of that hats at level 67 I think.  Most of the hats have a Treausered, Legendary, and Fabled versions...

Ok. Let me put it more directly. I've been playing EQ2 off and on since launch and my highest characters are 30 and 31. My 31SK has been playing for the last three weeks with combat experience turned off. So a profession hat is basically entirely out of the reach of me.

I did turn my first platinum profit since I started selling Adept I's on the vendor a month or two ago!

I've also had a grand total of two legendary items, the Decimus Dagger (two of 'em!) iirc. Not sure where I got them, but they were maybe level 10 items. EQ2 is still not real great for solo players imo ;) I have fun, but you have to remember that you'll never enjoy the cool stuff or get any phat lewtz...ever.

The hat quest is good. You have to go to several instances but those instances have good loot even for a level 70 (unless you are in all Fabled already, of course.)

I have never played WoW.
