I figure we should have a thread for gaming deals since I'm probably not the only one who can't deal with CAG's layout.

Circuit City has Cold Winter for $8.96 (on the PS2 - it was an exclusive), in stock as of this post. This is worth owning if you can deal with mediocre shooters with surprisingly decent story and writing. That surprise? Warren Ellis, he wrote the thing.

If you work at a store that sells Microsoft products and participates in the program then you should be using their Retail ExpertZone. I got Gears of War, Viva Pinata and an extra controller for $25.

I'm very mysterious when I'm inside you.

Geez, that Circuit City link has a lot of cheap games.

Tower Records is still having a 25% off sale of games, as well as HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, and DVD movies.

http://www.towerrecords.com/Games/Default.aspx

http://www.towerrecords.com/Video/Default.aspx

Not exactly the greatest deals, but it could save some money. Movie prices aren't anything special, but most new 360 and PS3 titles are in the $45 range (as opposed to $60). Quite a few PS2 titles under $25.

$15 : (PS2) God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, the Viewtiful Joes, GT4, Resident Evil 4, all R&C games, Kingdom Hearts, Tekken 5

$22 : (360): Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Burnout Revenge, Rumble Roses, PGR3, Prey

$30: (360): Hitman Blood Money, CoD2, FarCry Instincts, Dynasty Warriors 5, Test Drive, Quake 4, Chromehounds, American Wasteland, Bomberman, GRAW

How is that 19" flat-panel? I don't need one, but got a buddy or 3 who would consider it.

So far I have not managed to obtain a LCD at the office, but if the screen on my T40 is any indication then it is perfectly serviceable.

Just noticed this thread.  I'm looking for a second LCD monitor.  Anything from a 17" ghetto one that is nice and cheap, to a 22-24" LCD that is sexy and has component plugs on it.  Any sales that anyone knows would be much appreciated.

Hmmmm, I saw a list that seemed to indicate that Starforce was only on the European version.  I can't say that I know for sure if that's true or not though.

I am only posting this because it is very funny in this particular thread: I saw Eternal Darkness for sale at Wal*Mart today for $49.95.  No kidding.  Think of this as a warning-post.

The BestBuy my brother-in-law works at was selling a bunch of X-Box games for .99 until their GM decided that was too cheap. Asshole marked a new cart of them up to $4.99. But I did manage to get 9 titles for a buck each before then, including King Kong, True Crime, Superman Returns and Flatout2, along with other shit that will be trade bait.

It was a fucking dollar. I'm likely to get at least what, $1/$1.50 out of it when I trade it in?

It wasn't nearly as bad as Pro Stroke Golf.

In Canada Dell is doing its "Days of Deals" promotion and today the 2407WFP (nice 24-inch widescreen) is on sale for $650 down from $850 with free shipping.  Only today though, new deals tomorrow.  There are also some really cheap phones that went from $139 to $59, even has two handsets.

The prices won't look like such great deals to Americans (even after the exchange rate) but they are actually pretty good for Canada.

That's what I thought....

So how exactly are 1k gamerpoints worth $13, if they don't actually Do anything?

It depends on whether or not you find it painful to play through PSU's story mode.

I'm talking about the Old Spice rewards contest. Pretty sure, success in the contest will vault you to the next level in the next contest. Assuming there's a level 4 in it.

Well, I guess you could eventually get a free copy of Fusion Frenzy 2, whatever that's worth. Also, what are Microsoft points? Are they the Arcade points used to buy stuff like Geometry Wars?

I guess it makes sense if you Really want FF2, or something.

FF2 is a 50 or 60 dollar game and they were out of copies within a week of the contest starting.

The points are just bragging rights and they add shelf life to a game if you really like to "finish" games.

Activision games are Buy 1 get 1 free at Toys R Us and Toysrus.com this week.  Except for PS3 games apparently.  Of course Activision doesn't exactly have the greatest selection of games, but there's some ok stuff that might be worth a purchase to some.

While not exactly cheap yet, the PSP just got a $30 price drop, from $199 down to $169 (I see that amazon.com and a few others haven't changed their prices yet, but toysrus.com ebgames/gamestop, and best buy's website at least have it changed on thiers already).  Note that this is the pack which I think doesn't come with any memory stick.
