In the last few months I've noticed a (re)growing interest of Lum toward game design. There were also rumors about him being involved with the planning of Imperator.

Now from his blog:

I don't technically work on DAOC any more

I guess he has been officially "promoted"?

(This also explains why Sanya doesn't talk anymore about the "codewarrior")
(And also why he seemed a lot more proud of his position, have you noticed how he's more supportive?)

No, I hadn't noticed. Thanks!

I've been promoted? No way! Gotta get a bigger office...

(Yes, I'm on another project at Mythic. It's not a promotion, just a new project. I still poke at servers and watch them explode in pretty colors.)

It's true, though. You always tried to be absolutely neutral and in the last months I've seen you more openly involved with your role.

Well, it's not that Mythic has so many projects going on.. So I assume you are on Imperator and I hope not just to tweak the server architecture.

You are Haemish's hope for new screwups :) Mine too.

I always attribute this to Lum and his need to smack the hell out of stupidity.

If it's come up more recently than in the past, that should tell you something.

The past cannot be changed. The future is yet within your power.

You're getting rid of the dead hookers now? No wonder you didn't return my call when I offered to take you out for a drink and to see the Seattle nightlife.

Congratulations on whatever it is  you are poking these days, Lum.

You really should take Furiously up on his offer, you know... he is a lovely woman.

What's this about a head growing when you see Signe's cat similies?   You italians, you.

Anywho, I'm sure those folks over there at Mythic are up to some crackerjack MMORPGs.   Looking forward to hearing more about their upcoming products.

I used to envy that Lum was employed at a MMORPG company.
Now I envy that Lum is employed.

fuck's sake, he's not working on Imperator. If he wants you to know what he's doing (it's not a top secret project, it's just different) he'll let you know.

Right now I'm working on support tools for the DAOC Japanese beta.

I'm also working on Imperator server coding.

I had fish for lunch today. Mmm, fish.

Hah, now there's a funny image.  Show up on a Monday with an Indian guy and tell your boss that you've outsourced your position to him for 1/5 of your pay, and you will be keeping the difference.

Hey, don't joke too much. They still haven't announced the new classes in Catacombs.

What type of fish, and did you use any sauce?  Obviously a certain stalker (thread starter) is interested in these kind of things.

Were any beverages involved?
