Any particular reason why its been a month since anything new is posted there? Because if so, I was just curious since the updates used to be at least weekly.

We actually have a Doom 3 piece (should be) going up today. The MMORPG drought has been awful. And honestly, as far as DVDs go, next week is the first big week of releases.

As far as news goes - nothing worth posting when someone beats us to it in the gaming forum.

Do what we used to do: "this from the discussion forum"

or do you not have a 'post = mine mine mine' policy for this site?

I've been busy with games (DAoC, ESPN NFL 2k5), marriage, and work all at once. I've got three or four good (matter of opinion) articles in the mental hamper, and little to no time to actually write them.

Are there extra scenes and such? My wife loved that movie. Is it worth buying if you already own the 'regular' DVD?

Gee thanks. Having clicked the Amazon link, I never would have seen that information. Unless I opened my eyes. I was hoping that perhaps my post would spark some sort of commentary as to the quality/amount of the scenes, rather than just proof that they exist. Obviously I should have spelled it out explicitly.  Thanks for being your pedantic, smug, unhelpful self.

Another Corey^2 flick.  Horrible, horrible movie. But Nicole Eggert gets naked, so it does have some redeeming qualities.

I had too much of the Coreys the first time I saw Lost Boys, on recommendation from a friend. What a godawful movie. I wouldn't consider it godawful if for even a moment I thought the filmmakers involved wanted it to be a cheesefest. But it's just another example of an 80s movie gone terribly wrong.

"Prayer of the Rollerboys" is far worse.

I heard Corey Haim has resorted to selling his teeth, hair and other personal items on eBay these days.

Unfortunately Nosferatu, Dracula and Interview make it look like the crap it is. Remember, most vampire movies are utter shite. So being the top of that pile makes you nothing more than what's under you.

Remember armchair critics, campy != good/classic no matter how nostalgic a movie can appear.

Yummy goodness. Marred by the presence of the Coreys, but worth a gander to see Nicole.

Kiefer Sutherland was a good meanie - but the movie was silly (especially the dinnerscene) and the Coreys grating after 30 seconds on screen.

Almost every other 80's vampire movie was better... and there's been many before, that was better (Nosferatu, Dracula and some of the Hammers) as well as a few later. But it's a genre easy to fuck up (making it silly or gay... or in the case of Coppolas godawful Dracula, both)

The Lost Boy's is OK. Vampire's Kiss is probably my favorite (but I'm not really sure if it really qualifies as a "Vampire" flick).

The only thing I can remember about The Lost Boys is that AWFUL AWFUL song where they repeat "Thou shalt not fall" in a high pitch over and over and over...

Cry Little Sister. Often mis-credited as being a Sisters Of Mercy track on file sharing networks. It's well constructed bilge. I think Michael Mainieri did the orchestration. The song may be disposable, but the production is great. I pay attention to that sort of thing.

"Tempi duri per i vampiri" is one of my favorite vampire movies. Slightly obscure Christopher Lee role in an Italian satire. It's both dreadful and brilliant.
