you know as well as I do that the problem here isn't with baseball bats. Baseball is at the heart of the American Experience. But you can't tell me that you think people should be allowed to walk into a Sporting Goods store, and then walk out with an assault bat without proper background checks.

The issue with race in Florida came up in my ENG 101 class today.   Over here on the exact opposite side of the country, yet.   Other than unmigitated hate mired in ignorance, this story did not appear to have anything to do with that.   Sometimes the Middle East is closer to home than many of us care to admit.

People ganging up and killing people over an X-Box make me afraid to go alone to EB Games to pick up a hot new pre-ordered game.   Next they'll be after my stylish Sketchers shoes.
