slowly, improve the game over the next year, two years, even three years.. then give a comeback a try I don't think you get a comeback in mmorpg, once you release and flop there is no coming back from that. That was received wisdom, certainly, but Eve broke that rule with a long and slow but very steady recovery.  AO is a more arguable proposition, I admit, but I've heard it suggested. It could be argued that Eve's success was not a recovery but rather a plan to start out small and build up.I also think there is a difference in people leaving because "Your game is not for me" vs. "Your game is a pile of excrement".  One is a recoverable experience, the other is not. |

Yes, it appears to have gone free because they can't afford a billing service.     |

The forums are fascinating.  Makes SWG seem like a thriving vibrant community. |

Is there anything redeeming enough about this game to make it worth checking out? |

I considered it, just because it's free, but... man those forums.  Even the people playing it are just waiting for it to die. |

So what's the score? What are the (edit: working) features, what's wrong with it? |

I don't even know.  The only clear complaint was that nobody plays anymore.  And that the developers are totally incompetent in every way.  And that shutdown is imminent.  I think they're beyond wailing about individual issues. |

I may go back again just to fly around some. I did like the free-flight system. Much better than the sorry excuse in WoW. And you can snowboard, lol.
It would probably be useful for someone with time to go in and check it out then give us a review.
