I don't like the Beatles either.  And stop being my enemies over a bunch of dead old farts!   Sheesh.  Isn't there anything a bit more controversial to hate me for?  This feels like an empty hate.

See, what you should have said is:

"Don't be cruel."

I might not be your enemy if you said that.

This feels like an empty hate.

That's what fuels my entire life.  If I didn't go bounding from one object of hate another I wouldn't have the strength to go on.

Why do you want to take away my life-force?

I don't "like" any of them either, which means I don't listen to their music.  But you have to have some level of respect for them.

Nirvana is the most overrated band since the Beatles.

Nirvana is the most overrated band since the Beatles.

You exaggerate, of course, but they were certainly puffed after our Kurt bit the bullet.  When Nevermind was released, it was to plenty of acclaim, sure (though Rolling Stone gave it 3/5, much to their later revisionist embarrassment), but I think Spin was right in preferring The Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque.

Top 5 albums released in 1991 that were better than Nevermind:

The Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque.
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger

You know who I really hated with the fury of a thousand suns?  The Beatles.  Overrated, limp wristed, limey shit.

For all the decent songs they did, the Beatles were the New Kids on the Block of the '60's.

Even the Beatles' sappiest songs (all Paul's) were better than that kind of thing. Pat Boone or Neil Sedaka are better comparisons to New Kids pop. The Beatles played their own instruments, wrote their own music and lyrics, and had more songs characterized by blues and folk than they did anything pop. And most importantly, the Beatles had John Lennon -- Who had more talent, sincerity, depravity, humor, fury, and woe in his left nut than the entirety of all boy bands put together.

That being said, if any of you even hint at saying the same thing about the Stones, I will hunt you down and rip your tongues out.

I never liked the Rolling Stones, except for a couple of songs.  Sympathy for the Devil was okay and some of their older stuff.  Whenever Mick Jagger starts singing that dreadful "Start Me Up" song, I always hear "Shut Me Up."

So what are you going to do now?  Hmm?  Hurt my internet feelings again?   cry

I'll spare you, because the best you could do is knock the Stones for Start Me Up. It wasn't one of their better periods. Hell, even their new album (last year) is better than that one.

Signe, who's that lamprey lips person in your avatard? Cuz she reminds me of mick jagger.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

I've had to watch that video at least once a day since she started using that avatar, it's surreal.

Honestly, I had to look it up when someone finally said her name.  I don't watch TV and I skip many of the "you have to watch this video" pleadings I get.  I only knew of it because of the Azumanga/Osaka lip synch from the first Useless Video post.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

I haven't owned a television since 1993; advertising makes me hurl. I get all my television shows from Netflix a year late, but I'm still more content with that option than having to watch commercial twaddle like the above indicated idiocy.

She's my avatard because I keep getting accused of being a hippy stoner and that's what she's accused of, too.

And who are you calling a twaddle?  Dammit.
