Got this from a different source, but looks like Slashdot picked it up as well: http://mmorpg.qj.net/The-first-ever-virtual-travel-agency/pg/49/aid/70314SynthTravels, based in Italy, gives tours of select MMORPGs. Because buying and reading "MMOGs for Dummies" is too much work. And for business folks who want to appear knowledgable about MMOGs, it is. They don't want the nuances of DKP and hate tables. They want a five minute tour, a quick debrief, a few bullet points. And yea, it is very easy to distill MMOGs down to a few bullet points. SynthTravels does one better. I wonder if we'll ever hear stories about them doing live tours for a Board of Directors or some CEO.

You don't need more than one bullet point:
Kill until your eyes bleed.
Everything else in MMOG's boils down to that.

Ah, but once there were such wonderful alternatives. How can you ignore image designing, dancing and playing musical instruments? Seriously, though, ATiTD, SL and others do still provide plenty of tedious alternatives to mayhem and slaughter.

Killing Mobs and Crafting Pyramids and Making Giant Dildos are all the same goddamn thing.
One involves a sword and monsters, another some mud and an oven, and the other requires a horrible childhood and dad with a 40.
