Dreamlords is a massively multiplayer game that combines the accessibility of a web game with RPG character development, RTS battles and long term tactical strategy.

Players assume the role of the mystical Dreamlords, magical entities that spawn from the nightmares of the Dreamer himself. The Dreamer is the centre core of the universe, fuelling all things with the power of life, the gnosis, the focused attention of the Dreamer. Although Dreamlords may empower forceful methods on its subjects their presence are always welcome as they have the power to provide goals and guidance for a fragmented piece of the tired old world. These pieces of lands, home to hardened populations of survivors controlled by a Dreamlord are known as Patrias, the fatherland. The success of each patria is totally depending on the capability of its Dreamlord. The war is on, the war for existence.

Don't be a show off.  It's impolite.

I downloaded one of their PvP videos.

It was a small scale RTS battle between 2 people -- Who connected through a lobby system. It didn't seem very interesting on a RTS level, let alone a massively multiplayer level. Maybe there's more than meets the eye though.

Gameplay aside, the backstory sounds unique.

FYI, this was developed with Torque, and is still in early development, but does appear playable nonetheless.

I registered for the beta. It claimed that it would send a confirmation email right away (confirmation of registration, not that 'I got in' or any thing. No reply yet, even though its one of those emails where you get a link to click on to finalize your registration process. Wonder if they have their act together.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Try it again.  I think I had to try a couple of times before it came.  In the end though, I got one activation email from Dreamlord and seven Dreamlord registration verification emails from Fileplanet.   undecided

Art direction seems pretty good. Too bad the letters RTS make me cringe deep down, in the cockles of my heart.

Edit: And ohmigod, that website needs to be optimized and put on a better host, pretty prease? I give ice cream to fix, you like?
