X06 All Over Your Face Pt 2: Guitar Hero 2 Has Cables?

There's been some speculation about whether the 360 Guitar Hero 2 controller has a cable. Well, there's a slim chance the cable above exists only in the prototype model. But comeon, Guitar Hero is technically playable with a controller. They could've yanked the controller bits out and put them in the guitar and tweaked it from there. What the hell am I talking about? I have no clue if they could do that - I am not an engineer. All I know is Guitar Hero made me rock too hard and killed one of my PS2s in the process. That simply can't happen to the 360 since we all know what happens when you rock the 360 too hard.

I think you meant to say "prototype model".

Controller, whatever man. My question is who took a picture of a guy wearing a tucked-in collared shirt holding that guitar? He's not even wearing a suit and tie, like a pretentious British rockerboy. Don't get me wrong. I still want to rock. Just not like that guy.

Maybe I'm getting old but apart from the burning crusade this is the only game that I am really looking forward to.

Well or maybe not so. Bark at the moon and cowboys from hell made me nearly get all "The Who" on my ps2 although smashing instruments on stage is so 1960 ;-)

Well I hope that they offer a wireless controller unit. The risk of yanking your console from the table when you try an especially tough solo is just too high even with the already long cable.

That cord actually goes to the device that electrocutes his balls when he misses a note.

I don't get all the excitement over this. Guitar Hero is in the same vein as DDR to me.

Which I also don't get.

Have they made any official announcements about using the old controllers on the 360.  Please tell me they are considering an adapter.

Strangely, I found it easier to play many of the songs in Guitar Hero on my actual guitar (rather than on the controller).  Still a very fun game for those that don't play the instrument.

To clarify, I want to be able to use the 2 guitars that I bought for the PS2 with the just announced 360 version of GH2.  Having 4 of these things laying around the house would be too much.
