I'm sooo glad the national Irish food is potatoes. With bacon and cabbage thrown in for variety now and again.
Hell, we even made whiskey out of potatoes. That's love, man.

Have I ever trolled?  It was a joke.  Lighten up, Francis.  "Lighten up" in what way?  I was asking an honest question.  It just seemed an interesting/odd thing to say, and I was intrigued if you were kidding or really felt that way. So don't get so defensive, Francis. |

"Lighten up, Francis" is a line from the movie "Stripes".  I didn't mean to offend.  I was just in a silly mood the other day.   People eat all sorts of crazy things.  I'm not exactly sure who was the first person to look at a pig and think "Wow, that looks delicious!".  I'll never figure out the eating behavior of humans.   |

Not really how it works.  First guy tho looked at a pig and eat it was the guy who was saying 'Christ, I'm starving.  I haven't eaten in 9 days and I'm starving and I reckon if I take this rock, I can bash that little pink thing over the fucking head.'
This is the type of thinking you may wish to avoid when your plane crashes in the Andes.

I'm in rural Fife for some of the week, Edinburgh the rest. Thus my inability to make it at three hours' notice to Ironwood's local.    |

I can't deny it - the newborn baby poop chart is  fascinating for the first few months.   It's much less fun now that she's on real foods and the conversation is more a matter of who's turn it is to change her diaper. |

Typing this on the new monitors I ordered for the 800x600 crowd. Their new software requires 1024x768 (ZOMG), I forget where we were discussing that or I'd slot this post in there. Jumped on holiday pricing for a Samsung 1080p monitor, 24" widescreen . They still won't be happy, they've already begun pre-bitching when I showed them how massive these monitors are. But now everyone in every office wants one. I'm, ahem, testing this one until their computers come in... Tough to be an honest tech guy, not only won't I snag one of these monitors, I just took myself out of the running for a computer upgrade next year so we could stretch dollars elsewhere. Blah. But now I want a 24" monitor. |

I think typing on a monitor is your primary issue.  They might do better with a keyboard. |
