Is it just me or are beards back in style?  I began growing mine out (read: lazy) and now it seems like everyone at work is growing one.  I work in a professional environment, so its interesting to see how people jump on the fashion train!

Ya, I noticed that too.  It helps if you look awesome with a beard.  Peeps be like, "damn, he looks hella awesome, i wonder if I look awesome with a beard" but then they try and it's all like  Ohhhhh, I see.

I don't mind a scruffy face but I don't like big full beards.  (especially on me)

I've given up on beards. Probably won't try again until I'm 40. By then, the babyface will have gone to hell anyhow.

Yeah, Weiland does sound good live. Always did. I'm not the biggest STP fan (actually, not much of one at all), but I remember the first time I saw them, hmm, back in 92 or 93, I thought it was lip sync. Sounded perfect, right in line with the album.

You've lost the genetic lottery for that, same as I have.  Asian/ Native American blood tends to do away with the whole facial hair thing.  I've got just enough English in me to get a goatee going and even that is pretty thin if I don't let it get a little long.   Of course, it also means none of the horrible back hair issues and less chance of balding, so win.

Ah, I laughed.  I'd have a beard if I could grow one.  Like Cheddar, I'm a trendsetter.

Last Friday, I saw Bobby Yang at Eddie's Attic.  He did a set of Bowie, Queen and Zep covers.  The Terrapin was awesome too.

Don't trust people with beards.

Anyway, that'll suck if it's getting trendy. Might have to shave. But I'll be goddamned if I'll give up my SG, no matter how trendy they get. Hear that, Fallout Boy?

My sister-in-law found a spider in her salad at Applebee's.  It's sort of funny because she's the hypochondriac that is fearful of bad food.  I've probably eaten lots of spiders in my salad.  Vinaigrette covers up the taste of radishes, carrots and spiders equally well.

Was it called Lesbian Extravaganza 2008? Sorry. I couldn't help myself. I've seen Joan Jett twice and that crowd was more butch than the Hell's Angels.

Well, don't forget Fred Schneider. Not a lesbian per se.

It was the True Colors Tour.  At least a third of the audience was gay.  Some so much so that we can call it half.  Since I love punks, wavers, and goths there was some nice eye candy.

Carson Kressley was the MC and after Joan's set asked if any lesbians in the audience wanted to go sponge her down.  A lot of hands went up.  That woman is hot and in amazing shape.  I could see her abs 200' from the stage.

Neither did Jodie Foster till a little bit ago, yet you didn't see me putting her purdy ass in the spank bank did ya?!

Edit: You know what else doesn't go into the spank bank? When someone posts on one stupid thread in the WAR! sub forurm of the Eve subforum and that lights up the entire MMO Discussion forum as if someone's posted something awsome and interesting. That doesn't go in the spank bank EITHER Shaking fist

I have no idea if she is or not.  (Like I'm going to have a chance to find out? Hah!)  That doesn't stop us for wanting to give her a sponge bath after working up a sweat.  Carson was talking to those of us in the audience.

This is Joan Jett!  A woman doesn't have to be a lesbian to want to sponge her down!
Quite true.  A PFLAG friend and her daughter were both in as much awe of her abs as I was.  They, however, got to see them from the seventh row.

And meet Cyndi backstage.  Normally I would be jealous, but if anyone deserves to meet her, it's my friend.

Listening to some of her songs, she definitely sings about having girlfriends.  Not that it is a sure thing that she likes girls, but she sure doesn't try and pretend otherwise.

And yes, the crowd at that show is definitely very butch.  Some of those ladies scared and intimidated me with their biceps and mullets (I seriously hadn't seen that many mullets since my last Judas Priest concert).

So - I took my 17 month old to the zoo today. He loved it.

We stop by the red panda cage and I take some pictures. Then I notice something...

They might be cute... But oh my...

I read the sign..

It all falls together. They are related to the skunk.

I no longer want a red panda pet.

There is a new image floating around on yahoo, maybe this skunk thing explains why they come out white instead of red.

Quote
Tai and Pip, twin red pandas, sleep in the hands of Sandy Helliker, a animal health technologist at the Edmonton Valley Zoo in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Thursday, June 19, 2008. The pandas were born May 26 and are receiving round the clock care from Helliker who hand feeds them with baby bottles. They were taken from their mother after she showed aggression towards one of the babies. Only four babies were born in North America last year, two at the Edmonton Zoo, one in Calgary and one in Winnipeg. There are between 2,000 and 5,000 red pandas in the wild. They are native to the Himalayas in India and Nepal and southern China.
