This last page is basically in greek to me. I'm assuming they are musical people? They rap?

This is what happens when I get chained to a radiator during tax season. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Wacka is pretty much a goon idiot in person. I expected better. Basically everyone was better than him. Including Chanel West Coast. Who I renamed #muffincoast because I've never seen someone who was up and coming in the hip hop community rock a muffin top so hard.

Also, I left the party at like 5:15AM after being there for a solid 6-7 hours. Apparently 20 minutes after I left, Justin Timberlake, P Diddy and fucking Prince showed up.

Protip: Never leave the Illmore. Even if you can't feel your legs anymore.

Note: No, I won't help anyone get in next year.

That last bit was probably for the best. Prince is a bit... Intense in person.

Dammit Google pulled the links to Reader early.  Apparently I'm one of the few people left that was still using it.  Oddly, I feel a bit lost without it.

I spent 20 mins trying to find the link.

Mobile still works at least.

I have to use multiple Google accounts at once for work (lots of aliases).  Once they killed the links from within my personal email window login, it tries to redirect to our main work alias, which I can't have my stuff tagged to.

Sadly, the alternatives are not good.  Feedly is clunky.  The people it hurts are the sites that I won't hit on a daily basis, but I at least saw their daily headline.  I'd say 2/3 of the stuff in my RSS feed I won't check daily, but I might have given them a page view or two a day if their headline was interesting.

So I am raising a little nerd. My wife is bemoaning that she is now "outnumbered" as our family conversations now center around which "levels have the best bosses" with the two of us having to explain that "boss" isn't what she thinks it is. The funny thing is that we are into different games so he is really doing his own thing. I even went on a long digression about how we used to play games on paper/in our heads with mobs being defined by numbers in books (even pulled out the old Monster Manual) to which my kid said "that's cool!"  I am somewhat embarrassed that this comment made me happy.

My father taught me D&D from the Original Books.  I mean the ones Gygax scrolled on papyrus.

I wouldn't worry at all ever.  Carry on with that little nerd and he may even grow up to be as awesome as me.

Mine just did the same thing to me with Minecraft.  He's been watching youtube vids of it for a month so I bought it for him.  Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were 1am days and I didn't realize it.  It's now uninstalled and on ONLY his machine because.. holy fuck where does time go in that game?

It can happen. My co-captain and I of my high school soccer team were also members of the Diplomacy and MtG gaming clubs.

I think soccer and nerds can go hand in hand nicely. Football, meh.

My son is already way into soccer, but he's only 3 (few months from 4), so nothing competitive yet.  Although, I think he's better at 3 than I was at 6.

The wife will fight the nerd thing tooth and nail.  But, he's too smart; there's no way he's avoiding that path.  It will happen, and his eyes will open wide when he realizes how much nerd crap his dad actually has.

Football 'til I blew out my knee. Then swimming/diving, volleyball, snowboarding, hockey triathlons and rock climbing. But then a good chunk of my high school was jock nerds so I was just one of many.

As for the X-Wing. It'll go well next to my UCS B-Wing. (Which is goddamn awesome)

NJ - it was mostly street and indoor roller hockey. And skiing required 2+ hour trips in PA.

Hockey, soccer, baseball, snowboarding and rock climbing for me. Ultimate Frisbee later on. Ultimate is FULL of nerds.

All sandwiched between gaming, books and a long list of "nerd" activities.
