Excel's not really very good at what you are trying to do. It treats each cell as a separate entity. Probably the right thing to do would be to import this into Access or Oracle. Then it would be a true "database" and you could just write SQL to get what you wanted.
Why would you recommend anyone use Access?  Did they shoot your dog or something?

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

LOL, no. It's supposed to be a database program and that is really what i was getting at. I did some training on it a year or two ago and it was OK for what it was doing. It doesn't have the functions that Excel has, but it does the SQL bits fine.

I messed with the data a little bit and was going to make it a table and then do VLOOKUP off it, but it started getting complicated. I thought about doing IF, but yeah, the easiest way is just to filter and copy and paste It's just tedious and time consuming.

It's a real bitch to get documents onto and off of iPads in a seamless fashion.  Anyone doing this in a reliable and easy way?

Dropbox is okay.  I don't know why they just can't set it up where you can access a shared folder on your local network.  My problem is that I already use dropbox for things I don't want the staff to see, so I'll have to move shit around.  I was using Sugarsync for general office docs, but they don't seem to have the iPad to Mac conduit down yet.  You can get stuff from the mac to the iPad pretty easily.  Of course Apple wants you to put shit on iTunes and sync which is just bloody idiotic.

You're overthinking it.

Create a dropbox account for the iPad using another office e-mail account.  Share a folder in it with your personal dropbox that has the files you don't want the staff to see.  iPad now has the files you want to share and they pop-up on your PC whenever they're updated.

While the petition itself is silly, it's nice to see the effort they took to give an answer. Even "stupid" petitions deserve an answer if they have enough signatures (since one man's stupid can be another man's serious business)

ubisoft's launcher is such a piece of shit. Apparently the new one doesn't allow + in the email address field. Which is a problem since that is my registered email. I had to go in and change it, but the launcher still doesn't work. God, fuck that company so hard. Finally had to reset and recreate a password for it to work. How can they be so incompetent?

Email is a finicky thing. We just (like ten minutes ago) found a bug in our system where if you create an email address for a contact with three w's in it, it appends http:// in front of it in the contact record.

Jury Duty sucks. I'm feeling contempt and disdain for the whole system already, and it was only day 1.

At the rate the voir dire is going, the jury won't even be chosen for days. It's a combo of slow, repetitive questions, and slow, repetitive lawyers.
